I don’t know if anyone on this sub is familiar with aspiring beauty guru Kailyn Wilcher from back in the day (formerly kaikaod and foreverkailyn on YouTube but now just KailynMarie) but her parallels with Tophia are CRAZY.

To give a brief overview of Kailyn’s life, she’s now 34 years old and has been an online presence since 2007. She was home-schooled and severely socially stunted with no real life friends. Like Tophia, people speculated that she had Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, and she has never had a real job (not even for a few months at Dunkin Donuts) or a driver license. Unlike Tophia, she regularly pursued dating apps. She managed to get knocked up about 10 years ago, was briefly married to the father, and has had a slew of boyfriends in the years following. She has also had a handful of nude scandals when she got too trusting with people online, and she and her husband were accused of SA by one of her former female friends.

But the majority of her years of life have been spent sitting in her lavender painted bedroom, having her mom or man drive her around, and entertaining delusions of being a social media star. Her mom owns a local hair salon in their town and they appear to be lower middle class and not riding the poverty line like the Slydells, which I guess has allowed her to be a perpetual stay at home mom/daughter. She’s also been notorious for the extravagant hauls of high end makeup and beauty products she receives from family for her birthday and holidays.

This chick was a common topic back when the guru gossip forums were still a thing back in the day, as I’m sure Tophia would be now.
