Do you think Tophia having fans is due to some reverse psychology thing?
Like they see someone who is infamous and notoriously hated that it eagers them to do the opposite and support her.

This. She focuses on three types of people.
1. Empaths (the ones who try to genuinely help her). As previous poster said, people who want to help her and have a savior complex. It fills their proverbial tank to help others and think they're making a difference in their life.
2. Enablers (the ones who sub, like, and gift her live). These people don't always have the best intentions, but they want to feel like they are a part of her inner circle. They may want her to trust them...they may have similar societal issues... or they think it's funny and just want engagement.
3. Normal people (they see through the BS). Most of us fall into the normal people category. We see through the BS.

You hit the nail on the head of the answer, though. I honestly have been studying narcissism for years and it's so interesting how they all have the exact same pattern of behavior, the same cycles, and the same victims (because most people who deal with narcissists do become victims in one way or another)

ok look, ngl there was a time when i first saw her on my fyp, back when she was in the hospital, where i thought wow poor girl maybe since we live in the same city i can be friends with her.. but obviously that quickly faded once i kept tuning into her lives and seeing what a dumbass she is

I think it’s the same thing with like Trisha Paytas where every couple of months people kind of forget about her and then new people come across her and are aware of what she’s done and feel petty for her or mildly charmed until they do five seconds of research…. or they think that she’s “changed” just because she hasn’t done a majorly problematic thing in five minutes. Same with the people who are going back to the toxic make up gurus….. forgotten, rediscovered, shoot yourself in the foot again get canceled. Be forgotten. Repeat.
i think a lot of them adopt a “savior” personality in order to mask their own insecurities/feel better about themselves. once tophia inevitably does something that truly ends her online “career,” these “supporters” will be the first to jump ship.
