Bad. The slydells have always lived in poverty (I don’t think Marie ever worked). There were times they were homeless living with family and got kicked out and had to go to homeless shelters. Tophia also said she was bullied a lot in elementary school and middle school (not high school though). Tophia claims she didn’t start really gaining weight until high school. She did have friends at some point though.
