I'm intrigued about Papachu's back story. How the hell did the CEO of Ozark International Bank of America Government World Bank ended in the mean streets of Albuquerque?!?
OK. So he was a scammer; but what about years before he moved to ABQ & met Marie?
He allegedly went to a university; allegedly served in the military for an unspecified amount of time. He even had a daughter named Sophia before he met Marie.
Did meeting Marie trigger his mental illness?
Don't forget: Papachu was the one who convinced the manager at a Dunkin' Donuts to give Tophia her first job. He also convinced her to attend that job seminar at Goodwill. Sad to say, but he & brotherchu were the grounded ones in the family.

At least Chris Chan showed employee newsletter clippings of his dad & pics of his mom's retirement party. He had receipts to backup whatever he said.
Tophiachu has no receipts. There should have been at least 1 picture of Papachu in uniform.
Also, I don't recall showing her HS yearbook with her on Student Government &/or the Black Students Association.

They have been pretty consistent in talking about his VA stuff. When they were still in the apartment it was talked about frequently. He was getting meds from the VA and Tophia said “the VA was overmedicating him”.

I never served in the military but I heard that if you were in the military for the minimum 4 years, you can only get minimal VA benefits and then you're on your own (unless if you were injured in combat; then they get the full treatment). It's only those who serve for 20+ years who get the full benefits.
That's the thing. Tophia only talks about getting meds from the VA; but we have no clue how long was Donald in the military. How come she hasn't shared a picture of him in uniform? Did they say which branch did he served with?

He was in the army around the late 80’s early 90’s. Tophia said that he saw someone get squashed by a tank which caused him to be honorably discharged. Probably fucked him up mentally.

According to Toph - Papachu was an all star high school Quarterback in the Carolinas (I call bullshit cause there's no way a 5'2" dude was an all state/all star qb). Afterwards either he joined the military, then college or the other way around. Either way, he was discharged early due to PTSD. Made his way to Texas to be a stock broker of some sort. Then went to live in Albuquerque for some reason.
He was in the military cause he was getting VA checks. According to Fupa, he had bipolar since childhood or teenage years. He got onto streets cause Fupa and Marie messed up his medication for whatever reason, which made him spiral
