        Marie, as confirmed by her brother, has one white parent and one mexican parent so she's mixed. Ronald is just a white guy with no evidence to suggest otherwise. Topha is therefore a quarter mexican and three quarters white.

          Being outside in the New Mexico sun without any sun protection all day plus Hispanic/Latino (with some darker skinned people mixed into ancestry). Heck, we are a 100% Northern European white family and especially one of our son only needs a little bit of sunlight to turn a couple of shades darker than me and now after a whole summer working outside he is easily as dark as Topfuffle (oh how I hate to compare my beloved child to this woman 😩)

          TBH she is homeless, so when she's outside during the day the sun exposure she's has this past summer may have darkened her skin tone. Mamachu has been in a rehab/shelter/hospital so I doubt she's really seen the sun as often

      Where does this mysterious black dad come from, then? Papachu didn't enter the picture--or even the state of New Mexico--until Marie was four months pregnant; she's listed as living with Ronald, who bears an undeniable resemblance to Tophia, around the time she would have been conceived. Are we to believe there's some mysterious third man in the picture or do we just accept that she's the child of a white father and a half-mexican-half-spanish mother
