I always think Tophia and Urnchu failed their mom
Even though Marie is at fault for enabling Tophia’s behavior over the years and all the horrible things she’s said, her mom is elderly and clearly not all there mentally. She almost died because of both her kids, Donald Jr. couldn’t hold a steady job, and Tophia flat-out refuses to work. If they had both just held down full-time jobs, they could’ve easily afforded an apartment instead of ending up on the streets. Just my random Bigbackchu thought I had.

It’s a circle of disappointment, but Marie’s job was to equip her children with the tools necessary to become functional adults. Instead, they witnessed their parents scamming, exploiting, and barely scraping by their whole lives. They never stood a chance with her and papachu being their guides in life.

Idk. I have even less sympathy for Marie than I do for Tophia. She fucked with Donald Sr.'s meds, and that notwithstanding, failed to actually be a mother to her kids.

Marie did not raise children that would have the capacity to care for her in her old age. Honestly, Marie was a terrible parent to both of her kids and allowed them to grow up in squalor and around abuse. As much as I dislike Tophia, she doesn’t owe her mother anything. Marie has done nothing as a parent or human being to deserve it. I’m not sure why everyone wants to feel sorry for her. She’s a con artist just like her husband and daughter.
