Because she was never forced to grow up. Her whole life she’s never worked except when she had that job at Dunkin’, and even that was given to her bc of Papachus connections and she lost the job because her funky ass couldn’t bare a bath. Similarly, Mamachu has always said that Tophia being chronically online and getting her family in dangerous situations, “is her job”. The only one who showed any kind of resistance was Brotherchu and even he knew she was too enabled and too far gone that it wasn’t a battle he would win. She keeps herself in these shitty situations and financial ruin because she refuses to grow up. It’s why I have 0 empathy for her situation. It’s an active choice she continues to make to protect her immaturity
