Wouldn't it be amazing if we could all own our homes without mortgages? I just had to make a payment on mine. My goal is to pay it off early, but like most responsible adults, it’s not through handouts, it’s from hard work, just like everything else I own.
This might be a shock to Tophia, but I paid for both my dad's funeral and burial (yes, I had to take out a bank loan, but it’s already paid off) as well as my mom’s funeral and cremation. No handouts, no GoFundMe, no help from the state! When my dad passed, I had just turned 19 years a few days earlier, I was barely getting by and living in a rundown farmhouse. By the time I lost my mom at 24, I was in a slightly more stable position.
