Tophia definitely doesnt do her taxes
Everyone who gets paid by social media ALWAYS ends up owing money to the government since they dont have taxes taken out for their payments from whatever social media site pays them out. She would complain about having to pay back money which she wouldnt be able to pay anyway. Her not complaining about taxes just goes to show she never does them.

She also mentioned that during 2020 when people were getting stimulus checks she didn’t get one cause she was self employed. No it was for people who filed taxes, had nothing to do with being a W2 worker

She acted shocked earlier this year when she was “told” by a tax person she’d have to file self employed. If she’d been filing taxes all this time she’d know this.

She said on her live that she was going to pay someone to do her taxes which we know is bullshit. She likely has no money left to pay taxes and it’s due on the 15th of April.

I have no doubt that since she's been a "content creator" that she has never filed or paid taxes (even though she is required to because the only requirement is to make a few hundred dollars a year) and the reason she lies and says she does her taxes is because she wants people to think she's "legit" and responsible and also because she's afraid people can report her to the IRS
I'm self-employed myself and dealing with taxes is nowhere near as easy as it is when you're just receiving a W2 from an employer. All the forms, rules, deductions, etc. Blah. I have a CPA who I pay hundreds of dollars a year to handle everything for me because it just all seems a bit overwhelming to me so I know damn well Tophia couldn't do it nor is she paying an accountant to do it for her. You also obviously have to put aside money to pay your taxes when self-employed. I have a separate bank account and I have it set up to where every time I receive income from my business, a set percentage of the deposit is automatically deducted and put into this other bank account. I do not EVER use the money from this account except to pay taxes. There is no way Tophia sets aside money for taxes.
When people ask her if she pays taxes she loves to respond with "Duh, If I didn't I'd be in jail". But that's not exactly true. While yes she definitely owes the IRS thousands at this point, she is very VERY small time and they are not itching to go after someone who makes as little as she does. It could take years for them to even attempt to go after her for what she owes if they ever even do go after her. She's flying under the radar right now and really pressing her luck. Only time will tell what happens to her.

You are 100% correct. I do wonder if the irs can garnish her TikTok earnings? If the money isn’t taxed to begin with, are they even able to?

My sister didn’t pay taxes when she did gig jobs like DoorDash. She recently won like $600 or something on a scratch ticket and when she went to cash it at the lottery office, the IRS snatched it right up 😂
