A lot of y’all are saying this had nothing to do with Internet drama, and maybe it didn’t. Whether this was a random carjacking or something deeper, the fact still stands: People from THAT D APP have a history of trying to harm Tophia. Let’s not act brand new.

Y’all forget that these people have sent men to her apartment, mailed ropes and knives, and done all kinds of weird, obsessive shit to try and intimidate her. This isn’t speculation—it’s happened before. So when something violent happens to her family, you can’t blame people for side-eyeing the situation.

At the end of the day, whether this was connected or not, the Internet has created an environment where people think it’s okay to take things too far. That’s the point. And the fact that some of y’all are talking about how you don’t care or how it’s good for them you’re sick as fuck you need to seek help with the quickness and you need to understand the severity of this situation. I don’t like Tophia and her family as much as anybody else but to lack empathy is crazy.

I have empathy for people who have empathy. I can see why it is terrible and how it is terrible, but Tophia only feels bad for Tophia. Hopefully she learns from this...and if not... hopefully no one else needs to get hurt.

even if it’s somehow all a crazy coincidence, there needs to be consequences. you can’t just tell people to shoot a man. it’s weird and i’m glad that people are just as grossed out by the dscord as me.
