I cannot wrap my head around the situation. I never imagined this would unfold before our eyes. Nobody agree’s with Tophia’s actions that’s why these subs exist. However she is a human being. If you think someone deserves to suffer publicly like this you’re disgusting. These are the long term effects of unstable housing. Being homeless increases your chances of being a victim of a violent crime tremendously. I don’t believe the D app or lolcow culture had much to do with what happened here. They essentially were a sitting duck in a car spray painted in neon colors. Any hyped up fein would see that as an opportunity. Understandable, but in the video she also said something about people from the internet. I am sure her first thoughts were that people from the internet were involved, how could she not think that? However, if she did think that, why run to that place to vent? I feel very bad, don't get me wrong, but its a bit odd.

It’s not odd if you stop trying to be snarky for 5 minutes and realize a girl who literally has absolutely nobody just lost everything. She probably has zero friends. Who else would she confide in? She will blame the internet because she doesn’t know what else to say. We know Tophia might have a learning disability, correct me if I’m wrong.
She has nobody. The only place she can talk to anyone is the internet, where people will slide up on her stories and respond. It’s very depressing.

I think she made that video right after she called 911. I generally don’t like to defend Tophia but I highly doubt she was thinking straight at the time.
