Affording a funeral?
I know this may be too soon to bring up but it has to be said.
If they can't even afford to rent an apartment and had to live in their car, how on Earth are they gonna afford to pay for a funeral? With what, the $2 she has in her creator fund?
The most logical answer would be to start a go fund me but given Tophia's history with them
1) will anyone really donate
2) how do you make sure all the money is actually going towards it and she's not hoarding it to buy stuff again
I want to give her the benefit of the doubt beacuse as much as I dont like her, this really is a tragic situation but I'm really torn
Not to mention her brother was the only one working, is this gonna force her to get a job now or is she just gonna start another go fund me for that? Is she gonna try and guilt trip to no end like she does with her stillborn sister for sympathy donations?
And i don't want to be the downer to point out that if it weren't for certain circumstances tophia helped doom them to, they wouldn't have been living in that car in the first place 👀 but let me know if I'm wrong for feeling that sentiment.

Definitely…if a GFM is put in place for funeral expenses, it 100% needs to be monitored/ran by a reliable outside source (if possible)

I think she’ll try to milk money from a go fund me. I hate to say this but they will probably have the cheapest funeral possible and the rest will go for a new place.

According to some Google results, in NM Albuquerque the county can offer financial aid for funerals and also may pay for the burial , hopefully they can assist Tophia and her mom with this 🙏

I don’t think people should feel guilty about not donating given her past reputation but I think if ppl are going to donate to her it needs to be no strings attached. you’re giving money to her in a time of need and that’s a selfless act. no matter what stipulations you give her ultimately it is up to Tophia to use the money. No one can make her get a job. No one can make her a better person. No one can change Tophia except Tophia.

there’s state resources she’ll be directed to but it’s up to her to take them. even basic cremations are very expensive. i’m not sure what’s available to her in New Mexico.
as for a go fund me, there’s going to be people who donate as there are already people who regularly give her money. i’ve never given her money, and as tragic as this situation is, i still won’t be.
i don’t trust her to handle money. i don’t think she’s capable of making sound financial decisions, regardless of the situation.

You don’t have to have a funeral for someone when they die… you could just pay for a casket and burial or for a cremation. Maybe Tophia can try to get Donald’s car meet friends to pool money together for him to be laid to rest.

People shouldn’t donate. She’s officially hit rock bottom and needs to change for herself. You only donate cause shes a lolcow, other people are affected by gun violence and don’t have people donating to them and they also are people with good hearts.

I don’t think people understand how much funerals really cost. It’s a tragic situation but after everything WHY would u donate to her??? If she saw a large sum of money I guarantee u it’s not going to a funeral. Also a funeral shouldn’t even be their main concern in the first place.

I would possibly donate to a small verified (all the money only goes to) funeral expenses for Donald jr, however, with Tophia in charge only the money I wouldn’t donate. Maybe if an executor posted proof of how much the funeral expenses were and proof of payment then I would donate. I know mamachu needs a place to stay, but the hospital should help her with a case manager that can apply her to receive disability payments and apply for section 8 housing. Obviously it takes time, but given the situation she went through I am 100% sure they can expedite her application to be first in line since she’s experienced the worse possible situation from being homeless and has zero income. They can also get her hotel vouchers until the section 8 housing is vacant.

even someone with a stable job who’s good with finances would be severely affected by a situation like this. Unfortunately I don’t think someone who has never held a job and thinks a 9-5 is below her is gonna start now especially after what she endured.

right! i got downvoted to shit for this comment, because people are adamant that we shouldn’t donate to tophia, without considering how with the little money she has now, is she going to work towards improvement if she has no way of taking care of herself? it had me doubting that i may have been too empathetic towards her…
yes sure, she has scammed before. but if that happens again, we will simply never trust her nor send her money anymore. i truly do hold out hope that she realises she’s on a steep decline and she will scramble to get a job. let’s just give her one last act of kindness to show that we really aren’t trying to destroy her life when she’s at her lowest

there shouldn’t even be room for it to happen again. She’s made it very clear she prioritizes things like comic con and concerts over proper housing. She doesn’t believe in paying rent and doesn’t think shelters are good enough for her. She thinks ranting every single day online and doing tik tok filters is “working” and that having a regular job is not living life properly. She really doesn’t deserve any money, plus how is she ever gonna truly have a wake up call if she starts getting all this money w 0 effort??

i believe there are ways you can donate directly to the funeral homes, but i’m not sure. if that’s the case, a GFM that doesn’t directly go to tophia would be ideal. i would donate to something like that, personally.

She would be better off posting the amount and the funeral homes information. If someone wants to donate, call the home directly and do it.

Idk about their state but in mine the state will pay for the funeral and burial of murder and crime victims.

If she does have to get a job( this is going to sound shocking) we should just let her be and literally not bother her AT ALL nor take pics of her and leaves them on reviews after what she went through today/last night she really needs to keep a job in order to be able to have some sort of money for her and especially mamachu☹️

I think she's going to mentally regress and never recover. She's going to retreat further into her delusions and buy loads of stuff she doesn't need in order to cope. Speaking from a bit of experience, their best option is to donate his body to an organization who may use it for research or tissue/organ donation. They will then cremate the body and send the remains to the family, free of charge.

When my father passed people donated by directly calling the funeral home and making payments through them. They recommended not having a go fund me

I have no words…but I wouldn’t wish what happened to them on anyone. It seems like they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Since her brother is a victim of a crime I’m pretty sure the state will cover it. Hopefully Mamachu recovers soon, I don’t know the state of her injuries. This may sound cruel but I hope Tophia uses this as a wake up call to get off the streets, they’re not safe. Perhaps Marie’s brother will take her and Mamachu in. I think it would be best if they could get out of Albuquerque and start a new life somewhere else.

In my area you can call and make donations directly to the funeral home in the deceased’s name.

I know there are crime victims compensation in most if not all states. My youngesylt brothers father was assaulted pretty severely by a neighbor and his rent was covered while he was in hospital recovering as well as some other financial assistance. I'm not sure it's enough to live on long term or live well off, but I'm sure there's a ton of resources the police are offering her. My stepfather is also a former police officer and commented that they're most definitely throwing resources at her. Counseling being the main one. I hope she accepts it all.

Idk I’ve seen mixed feelings all across the internet about whether or not ppl wanna support her financially. it’s sad bc we all know they’re flat out broke but it’s hard to consider giving money since she didn’t even use the money she raised for rent FOR that purpose
