Contrary to what people may think a lot of people in this sub have empathy for the slydells. No one deserves to get gunned down in their car while trying to sleep. I mean it’s just so horrible. To have nobody in this world. That’s a rough life man. I think in a weird way we want to see a positive change in her, and this traumatic experience is either going to sink her or cause that change.

    I really do wonder if this is going to be the situation that makes tophia take steps to get a job, stay off the streets, and better her and her mother’s lives, or if this will just be the breaking point for her. I’m just hoping it’s not the latter.

      Hate to be a doomer but I doubt it. This is likely to be the beginning of an even worse chapter of Tophia's life.

    I think it’s annoying that anyone showing empathy is being criticized for that and all of sudden it means we’re excusing the things the Chu’s have done. No… any human can understand two things can be true at once. they’re not great people *AND* they didn’t deserve (Marie and Tophia) having to live through a traumatizing ordeal like that. Regardless if she’s wished that on others and people think it’s “her karma”, it’s a terrible thing that’s happened and I don’t wish that on anybody.

      Right, seeing your sibling be shot in the head is beyond horrific. And it was the first thing she saw after waking up from being asleep. I would not want anyone to go through that.

    I’m hoping Tophia leaves the net for good or atleast for an extended amount of time. After a tragedy like this her mental is most likely down. Mamachu sick and injured. Brotherchu is gone. Papachu is insane . Hoping some family can get in touch with her and she accepts this time.
