I’ve never lived in abject poverty so it’s difficult for me to empathize with that part of her situation. I would also not be focusing on money if this happened in my family, but I’d also have a warm bed to cry in and a career with PTO where I could take leave and grieve peacefully in my home.
In her situation, money might be the first thing on my mind too. Idk. Someone with more experience should weigh in.

she’s definitely going through a lot but i wish she would at least say that she’s going to use the money to help with Marie’s hospital bills and Donald’s funeral and possibly finding herself a place to stay, granted we aren’t entitled to that information but it would probably make everyone else not jump to conclusions and call her a scammer

her mom probably has expensive medical bills, they have to bury/ cremate and have a funeral for her brother, and get a place to stay and get back on their feet. no fucking shit she’s worried about money i would be too

Agree with this, but why did she repeat the cash app PayPal thing twice in four minutes? If you’re distraught, who cares about PayPal and cashapp, just let people’s donations come through and what you receive, you receive.

No, she just wants people to donate to what she sets up herself because she knows others will set it up to go straight to the funeral home or to a motel and not lend in her hands. Have some critical thinking, especially with her track record!!!

I will never understand Tophia. If something this tragic happened in my family I wouldn't even have the mental capacity to think about social media.
The fact that she is already asking people to stop referring to her family as "chus" at this time is very on brand for her. Focusing on the internet versus a real life tragedy. She would much rather focus on lashing out at the internet then the trauma at hand.
I do hope that some type of therapy is extended her way as she has old and new traumas she needs to address. She needs a much better way of coping.
