controversial take I fear.

i really don't think you guys get it.

this isn't karma, and this isn't something y'all get to feel all weirdly vindicated about right now. this is a tragedy that could've happened to ANYONE!!! she could've been parked in the wrong place at the wrong time just as easily as she could've been renting in the wrong place at the wrong time.

and hey, just throwing it out there... you know what else could've "prevented" this? JUST PARKING SOMEWHERE ELSE. but just saying that doesn't really help anyone now, does it? and nobody ever talks about that, do they? because if anything, it's just plain insensitive and uncouth as just straight saying "THEY DESERVED IT!!!", isn't it???

GUESS WHAT. it's the exact same idea.

"she makes everything about the haters!" SPOILERS! maybe it's because y'all make everything in this gd mentally disabled woman's life about yourselves. she watched her brother DIE in front of her not even two days ago, and she's already being dogpiled right back on top of for what? not thanking you enough?? THANKING YOU FOR WHAT??? THIS ISN'T ABOUT YOU

I JUST.... AUUGGGHHHH. EMPATHY IS FREE.

Get a job, don't live in a car.
    Pretty simple concept

She’s also the one that put her mentality ill father in jail and on the streets.

And now people are defending her.
        This subreddit is weird.

It’s a bunch of new people also that don’t take the time to read about her in the categories. They heard she has a snub page and came on here to talk shit us that have known and seen her behavior waaaay before all this happened.

Why do yall feel morally superior because you have empathy for her and others don’t? Like this is crazy lol I’m not even one of the ones who are saying she deserves it but wtf can I do if people say that? Make enough posts to shame them into feeling bad for her??? 😭

I dislike her and still feel sorry about what happened to her. two things can be true at once. it could have happened to anyone but it happened to them because they were living on the streets in a bad area. i don’t think she deserved what happened but also I don’t think it’s right that she’s expecting people to hand her money now, the same people she’s done nothing but shit on for having 9-5 jobs. she said herself when her mom dies she will be all alone. no money no car no home. she needs to turn it around before it’s too late

THIS this completely embodies how i feel, attacks like that happen to anyone at any time it wasn’t planned or anything, but refusing to work and have proper housing made them vulnerable to this situation

empathy is free… yeah empathy for a person that spent all the money donated towards paying rent in a bunch of junk food and trinkets, empathy for the person that abused her pets, empathy for the person that instead of buying her mom adult diapers she got her pads so they could spend money on comic con and complained that her mom kept pissing herself and they had to keep going to the bathroom and ruined her own experience, empathy for the person that repeatedly said they would laugh as our own relatives died and made fun of anyone that works a 9 to 5 job and refused to get a roof over her head because the shelters weren’t nice enough for her, empathy for the person that was told repeatedly that the streets in Albuquerque were dangerous and they had to get out of the streets but refused to because the car life gave her freedom. I respect her grieving and loss, but she did throw that energy out in the universe MULTIPLE times and her living in a car did not help the odds of something tragic happening

also she did thank the people that donated but quickly shifted blame and pretended she was calling for help and no one tried to help before, which is a lie since even though she got trolled a lot, a lot of people tried to help too

“i fEaR” this take has been spouted over and over again for the past 2 days, mostly by people who are feeling guilty for their own part in the online heckling and are looking for some kind of absolution. Yes, it was a random act of violence. Yes, being unhoused makes you disproportionately more likely to be affected by such situations. You can chant “EMPATHY IS FREE” in the mirror until you summon Bloody Mary or Beetlejuice or some shit but it won’t changed the fact that you kee keed and caw cawed with everyone else in the comments as Tophia got exposed for living dirty, watching p0rn, or any of the other things. Making a post like this doesn’t take any of that back or place you a level above other “haters.”

It’s definitely her fault, could’ve saved up for years now to get them somewhere with a roof but it’s just food and cosmetics, he would be alive if she wasn’t so horrible with using money that she didn’t earn in the first place
