what would happen if we all just genuinely blocked and ignored tophia?
this would never happen, there are too many people who will continue the cycle of bullying and tophia herself contributing to this cycle by engaging with these people.
but imagine if a majority of her following just blocked her and ignored everything she says to completely drought her engagement. ion just mean like 50-100 like ALLLL of us just poof- gone.
truthfully as i’m typing this i don’t think it would do anything … i think even if there were three people engaging with tophia, she would use just about anything as a distraction from her current reality which is rlly devastating, but christ does she need to GET OFF THE INTERNET, TBH MOST OF EVERYONE INVOLVED WITH HER AND THIS ENTIRE SITUATION (INCLUDING MY ASS) DO !!!
talking outta my ass rn but yeah
i’ve been thinking a lot about lolcow culture: why it exists, how it came to be and persists, how scary but morbidly fascinating it is to watch it unfold in real time, the effects it has on both the victims and the audience. humanity is fucked, im not rlly sure what to do anymore- lolcow culture just puts into perspective how cruel and apathetic we are all capable of being.
im no saint, i’ve definitely been sucked into this bullshit along w many others like ash trevino and lexity and engaged with the snark and criticism- but man do things need to change. not defending them by any means- they’ve all done some heinous shit but it’s frightening how quickly they can be devalued as humans and treated like zoo animals getting virtual peanuts thrown at them.
yeah just sharing some thoughts,,

most of the people who genuinely leave hate comments towards tophia and devote their lives to this subreddit to spew hate need to find some sort of peace...bc it really just seems like mfs need an outlet for their negativity and it truly is tired..

  I get where you’re coming from, I had to learn self accountability and it’s really hard for some people to learn I think that’s why many people are disagreeing with you. As soon a people realize that engaging with her in a negative or positive way is causing harm things may change.

    yes i can blame them! i blame them for popularizing and sensationalizing 'lolcows'. Seeing these people as a form of entertainment knowing the state they are in and dehumanizing them and then acting self righeous when they act out is sooo crazy to me.

        omg calm down lol, none of us are saying we’re morally better than anyone else here- you’re the one that’s trying to justify this behavior by putting all the blame on the lolcows “can you blame them? TOPHIA makes it easy for people to hate her” yes i can blame them bc have some self control to not actively contribute to the cycle of harassment (much like ive seen from your profile, still leaving comments in this subreddit hours ago criticizing her) “you know if these lolcows really want the bullying and harassment to stop just get off social media” okay deflection, okay avoiding accountability, okay hypocrite

      But you know these lolcows if they really want the bullying and harassment to stop just get off social media. But they won't because they love all this attention they receive good or bad. Their lives suck so bad they would rather argue with people on the internet than actually getting jobs and being productive in society .
