Blaming the internet for your family's situation is... a choice
The incident with the chu’s is truly unfortunate but to act like the internet is the reason you and your family were put in harm's way is crazy. I mean in a sense if it was the internet it would be how she used it. I've seen a great number of times where she had doxxed herself and continued as if nothing happened…
The streams of her poking and taunting for people to show up when she KNEW they were aware of her and her family's locations, but at the same time freaking out when people showed up it’s like when are you going to realize you’re putting your family at risk. Seeing how she blamed the internet for every last thing that has ever gone wrong in her life I’m not surprised she also blames a tragedy like this on the internet as well.
I hope that this situation brings awareness to Tophia that although it wasn’t the internet this time, putting all your information on the internet, and doxxing where you live/ location is dangerous for herself and her family.

sometimes i do wonder if this wouldve happened if she never joined tiktok and wasnt active (at least publicly) on social media. i want to say no but honestly idk

I believe it would have still happened tbh, for one tophia didn't wanna get a job she made that very clear in the early stages of her TikTok from a past experience 2. Her dad still wouldn't be taking his meds and spiraling ( destroying the property and not paying bills) would have still contributed to them getting kicked out.
I even think the situation would have been worse without Tophia's small lTikTok checks helping them out once in a while.

The crime was committed by a 43 y/o repeat offender with a very similar criminal history to her own father’s. She was evicted from the hotel and her apartment for NON-PAYMENT OF RENT, which just shows that the internet had absolutely zero correlation to the circumstances everything to happen the way it did.
