A theory about Tophia’s new “diagnoses”
I’m not sure if anyone else has already said this, but I have a feeling like Tophia is going to be leaning heavily into her new supposed MDD and PTSD diagnoses because it means that she will be able to use it as another reason why she can’t get a job 🤣 she might also be trying to file for state disability benefits, though I’m not sure if the money she makes from social media would put her over the allotted outside income limit.
I don’t doubt that she may have both of these things especially after the events of this year, but with her? Nothing is EVER about actually helping herself out or seeking treatment to improve her life. It’s always about how she can further victimize herself and avoid accountability and her responsibilities. She’s so transparent lol

Ngl, being diagnosed with MDD and hearing having this makes people eligible for disability benefits is peaking my own interest in having disability benefits. lmfao.
I do wonder what benefits someone can even get??? I thought you needed to be getting SSI to be considered disabled by law.

What Tophia believes counts and what actually counts are rarely aligned. She calls herself black, remember. I don't know US disability law one iota but I bet you Tophia doesn't either.

You have to prove to ssi (American disability office thay approves disability claims) that you can't work a ny job whatsoever that will give you a stable /decent income for longer than 6 months and that you tried many times to find suitable employment.

Well she was in special ed in high school and she did get kicked out if the shelter for not following the rules. I guess a letter from the shelter staff saying that she can't follow the rules or do basic tasks would be sufficient

You can potentially be eligible for it depending on how severely it affects your life. Usually they’ll conduct a medical review + request documentation from the medical professionals that are treating you! I have bipolar disorder type II and I’m eligible for state disability (I live in Florida), but the income I make from other sources exceeds the amount that you’re allowed to make and still be eligible. Usually you can’t make more than like $1500-2k a month and still be eligible for benefits.

Pre ssi and post ssi entitlement rules are different
Non blind sga for both programs is 1620 a month when applying. Sga doesn’t exist on ssi once you’re on it and it’s like 2019 to get a max check of 967 to zero and there’s 1619b Medicaid eligibility

A judge will want to see you taking medications, seeing a therapist/ doctors regularly. They want proof from an employer that you can’t work, a work history of showing you have been fired because said disability. They want a-lot of proof! It will be really hard for Tophia to get approved.

She’s trying to be like elphaba Orion lol, elphaba likes to lie & say she has all these diagnoses so she can claim disability or whatever it’s called in the uk. She also will say she talked to some government worker about it, then go live after the fact & try and act “crazy”/ depressed etc. bc she thinks they’ll search her up on TikTok & be like “oh wow she really does have these issues. Let’s give her disability checks😍😍”

I mean she can claim to have whatever mental disability she wants on live or in TikTok’s. The office doesn’t take that into accountability when it comes to their decision.
They look at your medical history. A paper trail basically proving that you have these diagnoses, you’ve been seeking treatment for it, and it actually affects your ability to work. Only about 40% of people get approved and it can take years for you to get approved, given that you have proof and actually appeal and do the movement to get it

She will never see disability pay in the next ten years. She will need a lawyer to help and she has no history, no records, etc and her online presence will ruin her chances. Tophia is lazy and entitled. She can work, she won’t see any money from disability. It takes people with massive documentation, years and usually a lawyers help.

She would have to get her psychiatrist to write a letter stating that she is so severely depressed and traumatized that she is unable to work and it’s actually incredibly hard to get a doctor to do that

I mean she might have depression, she is homeless and can’t use food as a drug to mask the pain anymore (she was giddy when she had that grub hub $500) but that’s no reason not to work, if everyone with depression quit their jobs the world would stop functioning.

I have both of those diagnoses and more from awful incidents. I can’t work full time bc of my diagnoses, but I still work and earn money. I think she’d be shocked by how many people in the workforce are struggling with mental illness and just power through it.
