Ironically, I do remember right before the motel eviction? She was talking about working on indeed, but only for WFH jobs….. I remember at the time I got curious and looked them up and they were all like accounting, programming, or educational based gigs…… none of which she was qualified for. Hell, she can barely type.

Literally today she was going on about how easy it is to get a remote job. But I was thinking back to when she was trying to actually get one and never did.

I bet that disability office would love to see a sea of proof of her out and about doing things like comic con, the mall, vids of her jumping around with really high energy ect. 😈 so disabled that she can do absolutely anything and everything but work.

They should see the barrage of thirst trap videos she was posting not that long ago too

it will never happen its not easy to get disability. its a very long and complicated process you have to go many appointments it can take years to get approved and tophia is far to lazy to keep up with it
u/thequeens_exit • 1 month ago • score 60
Yes it’s extremely difficult! But with her naive world view, she probably thinks you submit a piece of paper and then start getting money a couple weeks later 🤣

And it's best to get a lawyer who specializes in getting disability; that she can't afford. I tried for disability with many chronic autoimmune conditions, and I got denied. im glad I got denied, actually. I would have never found the job I have now that I love so much
u/Ok-Ebb2872 • 1 month ago • score 1
she would have to make various attempts of not being able to hold down any job for longer than 6 months or less to prove she can't work at all and show she has made attempts to work.
u/ketchupROCKS • 1 month ago • score 59
I hate to break it to her but she isn’t going to be approved 😂 you have to be DISABLED. even if you are disabled you have to prove it with extensive medical history and prove you are physically unable to work because of it. ME SAD is not gonna work
u/Much_Guava_1396 • 1 month ago • score 8
The entire system is notorious for making life hell for disabled people. She thinks she can just file the paperwork and the money will show up in her account. Girl, you’re gonna have to fight tooth and nail to get anything. It’s honestly a thousand times less work and stress to just get a job. There are no easy hacks to skip working.

They gonna deny her 😂🤣 there is plenty proof online that she is able bodied person. I legit have diagnosed seizure disorder which affects my everyday life and I can’t do a lot because of it. And included DIAGNOSED mental illnesses (PTSD is one of the few) and I can’t even get on disability. I’ve been denied and fired from jobs due to my seizures. I’ve had doctors refuse to let me go back to jobs because of my seizures. She is very capable, if she can trot her big back ass all over New Mexico to shop then she can work.
u/anonymousx97 • 1 month ago • score 41
Good luck to her ugly lazy fatass. Disability is already difficult to get with actual disabilities. A web ND diagnosis of Depression and ptsd aren’t going to get her an SSI check LMAO. You have to have this welly documented of psychiatric , doctor, therapy visits along with medications proving you’re not mentally well enough to work. If it was that easy, then everyone would try to play the system with mental health.
SSI isnt much money to live off. Many on it are barely getting by themselves. Welfare and ssi are not life hacks to get out of working like tophia thinks.

I have MDD and PSTD (among other things) and I’m on medication for them. Everyday is a fucking struggle but here I am working and taking my meds even if I don’t want to get out of bed. The thing is, even with or without medication, people with these diagnoses can get through life but Tophia isn’t trying to get better. She isn’t trying to use meds or coping skills to help her navigate a job. She would rather have the government pay her way while she does nothing. I tried to get on disability once for severe debilitating anxiety and after an in person interview, they deemed me fine. I guarantee she won’t get accepted. She would also have to go to appointments and shit to keep up with the decision and I know if she can’t pick up her brother how tf is she gonna go to these appointments? She pmtfo with this shit. Also Tophia, DISABILITY DOESN’T GIVE YOU A PLACE TO LIVE! You’ll still be homeless because you’d spend your checks (if you even got accepted) on bullshit instead of trying to get a place.

I’ve been diagnosed with major depression, OCD, and generalized anxiety since the age of 21 (going on 15 years). Yes, somedays are harder than others. I struggle to get out of bed and have difficulty finding the motivation to clean, cook for myself, or do my normal tasks, but having a job actually helps my mental health immensely! I was unemployed for 5 months in 2023, and I don’t know how anyone could CHOOSE that.

She told us about her plans already just days after her brother was shot. She told us,,that she and momachu WILL HAVE „THE ptsd“ for the rest of their lives and that they WILL be provided the necessary doctors by the victims organization (or the shelter?) to get „THE ptsd“ diagnosed and „everything else they might have wrong that she doesn’t even know herself“ to get their disability income. I was baffled when she was talking like that, at this time of her life and with that attitude . She was so happy for getting „THE PTSD“ on her list, totally sure, she WILL have it and without any hope or desire to ever make it better (by time and therapy) - no thought for her poor brother losing his life or her mom getting severely hurt by another bullet 🤬

Ohhh she’s gonna have a field day. I have bipolar and ptsd and applied for disability twice and they declined me both times. They basically told me “try harder”. Lmaooo oh she’s naive lmao
u/Wow_So_Fake • 1 month ago • score 5
It's insane how long people have to fight to get disability. My daughter has nocturnal epilepsy which has a risk of dying while sleeping. So because of that possibility she developed anxiety about going to sleep followed by depression. She's been denied twice and will probably be denied a third time next month when she goes in front of a judge. Because they don't see anything wrong with a person in their 20s not being able to live alone, sleep with a baby monitor, and have someone on hand to take care of restroom and hygiene needs after seizures. But like you we couldn't find a lawyer willing to take on her case. Don't give up if you know you need it. That's what they want you to do. The worst they can keep saying is no.
u/MasterpieceAfter6578 • 1 month ago • score 1
I am so sorry to hear that. I can’t even imagine what’s that is like, my heart goes out to you and her.
I am in my 20s and it’s the same thing with me as. I’m just so tired of fighting and I do know I need it but the sad part is I cannot afford to keep fighting it and reapplying with no money, the state I have lived in at the time (I’m not sure it’s it like that everywhere else) but they basically told me it looks bad if I work while waiting for approval, even if that current job I had was 2-3 hours a day, MTF.
Yeesh the US sucks sooo bad. It’s like you gotta prove why you’re disabled but by jumping through hoops and hurdles. I wish you and yours luck. ♥️

She did self diagnose because of her live she said she hasn’t been able to find help. According to her one place she called didn’t answer and another place said they probably wouldn’t be able to help her. She then said she will look into online therapy instead.

I just had my hearing today actually and it is extremely difficult I applied in 2021 and found a lawyer who immediately took my case the most important thing you can do is have medical records and a long paper trail. My lawyers also told me that where I had tried to go back to work over the years and ended up not being able to also helped. It’s not easy as going into the social security office and saying “I have trama.”

u/Mister_BoBandy • 1 month ago • score 4
Idk what it’s like in ABQ but here in Ireland, getting a diagnosis is so stinking hard. You gotta go to psychologists, GPs, apply for diagnosis, etc. You have to have a list of symptoms and a witness from education like a teacher or something. When you apply for diagnosis they always deny it at first. Same as when you’re applying for disability allowance. You can’t get disability allowance if you earn a certain amount of money and the money you can get through work + allowance is barely enough to stay alive. My partner went through all of this for his autism diagnosis. Getting the allowance alone took him like 2 years of constant emails, snail mail, phone calls, and begging for someone to listen to him.
Overall it’s a very lengthy and expensive process full of stress with little outcome if you’re living alone with bills to pay.
I highly doubt Big T has the patience/ attention span for all of that. I don’t think she’ll even get diagnosed with a disability that can get her that money. Not saying ptsd and depression aren’t severe, just saying those can be treated and taken care of whereas something like autism can’t be treated with therapy. You just learn how to live with it, not how to minimize the struggles.
u/klousethelouse • 1 month ago • score 4
Maybe, LETS PRAY though! That they actually help her. Then they put her on necessary meds and if This is all DUE to depression, she can turn her life around. Maybe sell a book, go on speaking events. Change her TikTok’s to mental health related stuff to help uplift people. She’d be a REAL SUCCESS story. Then she can make an LLC and give Marie part nd Marie can tap into the Mexican side and offer stuff for Tia, and Nana’s and moms. Oh now I’m going to far. I know this won’t happen 😂😫
u/Evening_Ad3681 • 1 month ago • score 3
I think it's a win win! 🤷♀️ bc,she is not mentally there. So,if she gets a diagnosis they could pinpoint what she has and take her into care.

u/lucychanchan • 1 month ago • score 2
Getting disability for any kind of mental illness is actually really hard and you need to have been seeing a doctor who has documented the illness to have evidence of it to give to SSI
u/Radiant_Smell7039 • 1 month ago • score 1
First and foremost, in order to begin to be considered to for SSDI, one must have “CONTRIBUTED” to Social Security. “CONTRIBUTING” via FICA which is either through working as an employee or paying taxes through self-employment. Which in Tophia’s case would be equivalent to ZERO.
Ain’t gonna happen… just saying.

I remember someone made a theory that the reason she says she’s “working to get a place” is cause always goes towards calling up government agencies to bail her out because that’s all she’s seen throughout her life with mamachu and papachu where they would basically live on welfare and VA funds, and with her parents being incompetent af, she thinks the only way to get herself a “decent” living situation is to call up to government agencies to get that welfare she had as a kid, and let me put my own two cents here, she’s doing this without realizing that the reason they got welfare in the first place was cause there were children in the household, but she’s too dense to understand that.
