I’m starting to wonder if she ever actually got the first one at all to begin with that she claims got lost or stolen or whatever? Because there’s no way it costs $300 for a death certificate. So, she’s either blatantly lying & trying to scam extra money, or she’s just that ignorant & lying by omission basically due to the fact that she lied previously about having the first death certificate, so is just guessing the number she thinks it’s supposed to cost.

When my parents died, the funeral home just asked how many copies I needed and ordered them for me. I think I may have needed more and I ordered them. It was really simple. I just hopped online and filled in very basic info and that was it.
And once again, I would like to point out that I’m sure there were social workers and other people at the shelter and with victim’s advocacy who could have easily walked her through the process of getting a copy if she needed to.

We all saw her shopping at the mall holding bags from Boxed lunch. We also saw her carrying around shopping bags from Ross and tj max. She had money to dye her hair that terrible shade of rust and money for make up. She had plenty of money to make something happen for her brother but she didn’t for the simple fact that it didn’t benefit her. That’s really it.

Excuses, Excuses, and more Excuses! The funeral home gave us so many copies and then we had to pay for more, but it was like $5-10 max for extra! This was last January when my father passed unexpectedly! In front of my mom and I. Had to do CPR and all. Totally off topic, but when she talks about her trauma I’m like ma’am my dad had a massive heart attack in front of me and I had to do CPR hell I have trauma, but guess what unfortunately I have to learn to deal! I still get up go to work even tho it kills me somedays bc I miss him so much! Ugh this morbidly obese gopher makes me sick!

My family member passed 12 years ago. I requested 5 copies of the death certificate. I STILL have most of them (some end of life estate affairs require you to mail in or present a legit death cert).
