Anyone blaming Tophia for this incident or justifying it are the same people who justified the IRL harassment, doxxing, DDishing, dating apps ,etc.

At what point do we say this is too far? At what point do we look past the online drama and realize this is someone going through a detrimental situation.

I've seen to many people laughing, and pointing fingers at Tophia for a situation that was out of her control. And before anyone say "well maybe if she was in a house" do you know carjacking can happen to anyone at any moment? Also what if it was a robbery?

There's a certain point we have to stop at

It's one thing to call her out for what she does or says but it's another to send physical harm to her and her family

And the disrespect for her in a trauma induced state. The last thing on her mind is make or she in stuff because I think this situation was truly a wake up call

You Don't have to donate to her you don't but don't act like her emotions and trauma aren't real

like what she said - this could've happened to anyone anywhere. Gun violence is very prevalent and anyone can unfortunately become victim to it at any moment. It's very upsetting that it happened to her and she had to witness it. No one should witness it, period.

the thing is: it wasn’t out of her control. the crime WAS out of her control. her situation never was.

she was warned time and time again how unsafe homelessness was and she mocked those who expressed that to her. she bad mouthed shelters, something many rely on to survive.

she’s had access to resources for awhile. she had a go fund me to keep her off the streets. she gets donations daily and spends it on frivolous things. she spent months living in a car and never thought to learn to drive it.

I think you’re greatly exaggerating what people have written.

What I’ve seen is, had she paid her motel or went to a shelter, this most likely wouldn’t have happened the way it did. Which is objectively true.

They would’ve been in bed in a shelter somewhere at 3am if the car got carjacked.

I'm disgusted at the sheer amount of people I've seen
    •blame her for this
•accuse her of orchestrating this attack
    •call it "deserved"
    •wished it was her
•say things in the lines of "she chose to be homeless" or "she should have never wished death on peoples family"
    •call it "karma"

Regardless of what she has done, you either have empathy or you don't. If you don't, just move on and don't interact.

They use the excuse "they are bad people"
But these users that are saying vile things are bad people themselves. Good people don't talk like that about a horrific murder.
So I guess they must deserve the same thing.

Abusers /narcs love jumping to the chance of attacking someone like this by being a dick and using the excuse of "they were bad people" .

Even before all of this I did have a bit of sympathy for Tophia, because I know in a way she was doomed from the beginning

Her parents weren't the best, her father crushed and talked down on the dreams she wanted, and she felt so alone

Even when I was upset about her disrespect towards the art community I went after her work ethic
      Not her appearance
      Not her weight
      Not her mental ability

      Her work ethics

I always wanted to hold out hope for her to get off her feet and honestly kinda wish she stuck to art in terms of social media
I think she could've done great sharing her progress

So many ppl here though just wanted an opportunity to make themselves feel better
