Anyone else starting to think there's not actually gonna be a funeral?
I know they did a Gofundme to pay for a funeral and they did manage to raise thousands from people but I'm starting to think there's not gonna be a funeral lol. I have a feeling they're just gonna cremate him with the cheapest options and Tophia will pocket the rest of the cash from the Gofundme. She claimed a few days ago that the funeral was all planned but I have a really hard time believing she sat down with anyone and planned a whole funeral for her brother. She seems 100x more concerned with spending hours ranting about celebrities and influencers on her stories everyday. I guess there's a possibility that his friends planned the whole funeral without her and she's just planning on showing up but that would be weird too imo

You’re right, but still, if these people were actually friends with donald they probably didn’t question anything too much since you can already tell something was off just by looking at any member of the family, so I really don’t think they looked into him much. I guarantee a few of them know the family’s lore, but I doubt their background knowledge is seasoned enough to know not to give tophia a single dime for anything

I said this a few days ago and she talked about it on her insta story. There will be no service that Tophia puts together or arranges with GFM money. I can guarantee her brother was already cremated and it was paid for by tax payers. He will be returned to them, if he hasn’t already, in a bag most likely because that’s the cheapest way. His friends might hold something once they realize but I can absolutely guarantee that Tophia will pocket that money saying her mom and her need a place to live, meaning she wants to spend the money and that’s what her brother would have wanted (according to Tophia) I don’t think Jr was a great person but hopefully he haunts the crap out of her because dying and having Tophia end up responsible for your funeral is insane. That money will only be spent on her.

Yup,I was thinking the same also.And if they do get a place,Tophia is going to have to pay a deposit to turn on the utilities and whatever else is needed.

This is where it's starting to make me mad because I think she isn't trying at all to do anything or get the ball rolling regardless of everything she still needs to function as a 30-year-old. However, she thinks she's going to be in witness protection. She still has to secure a place for them to take care of her brother's remains whether she takes the free route 😒 sign up for help. No one in this world will do that for her, and sitting on the phone doesn't stop the world from turning. She needs to land on her feet.

Yeah I don’t understand what partially getting it done means. From my experience, with the 2 funerals I’ve had to plan, me and my brother met with the funeral home director and figured it all out in an hour or so a few days after the deaths happened. Then he gave me an invoice of what it would cost and I paid what I could and then paid the rest like a week later. The only part that took more than a day was writing the obituary cause I wrote both my parents’.

That's what I'm saying. Everything is set up on the spot right there, even with my father and other family members. There was no waiting or setting up half now, half later, and you have to meet in person, not over the phone, which is leading me to believe she has sat on her ass in the hospital, not getting a dang thing done for him is beyond disgusting. Leaving him there is sad and talking nonsense on her phone.

I know, I’d feel so guilty if that was me just letting my family member lay there. It’s super sad. I wouldn’t be able to just sit there not figuring out something. I remember losing my mind cause when I had to put my dog down the vet told me his body would be picked up that afternoon to go to the cremation place and it actually took 5 days. I wasn’t mad at the vet but just so sad thinking of my poor pups body all alone for days waiting to be cremated. The only thing that consoled my spiraling was he was wrapped up in his fave blanket.

I know! My baby is getting cremated. I do not want to put her in my yeard; she loves her spot, so I want her with me 💝 and that's what I want for myself. I hate the cold, too. I hope she gets this done. I feel for Marie, having everything left in her hands.

Funeral alone is more than what the gofundme has, same with a casket. average cost of a traditional full-service burial in NM is around $7,829+, while full-service cremation averages $5,588+

I’m sure New Mexico has some sort of pauper’s cremation. I don’t live there, but I had to do something like that for someone cause of no funds.

It’s whoever set up the GFM who has access to the funds. I doubt it was signed over to her. Maybe any remaining funds would be donated to her. Also, services could have been private.

There won’t be a funeral. We all know Tophia is going to pocket that money and claim she tried to arrange and funeral and burial but won’t do shit. His friends will probably hold a sad memorial service at a park or something and that’s it. Marie is most likely Donald’s next of kin. He was almost certainly broke when he died and didn’t have a will, so she can claim he’s indigent (if she’s even cognizant enough to do so). The county will pay for his disposition. Likely a simple cremation and the cremains scattered somewhere with other indigent persons with a simple service that family and friends can attend. Tophia and Marie probably won’t get his cremains.
That can take up to a year to get done because the county will exhaust every source they can to get out of paying. In the meantime, Donald is laying in a freezer. But Tophia will be able to buy some makeup palettes and DoorDash her heart out.

Governments on any level rarely want to help the people - especially poor people. If they can get out of paying for anything, they’ll take it.

I doubt they've raised enough for an actual full cremation and service or burial. He'll probably get a cheap cremation for about $1000 with his ashes in a zip lock bag and a "service" in a public park. Funerals are SUPER EXPENSIVE. My mom was cremated during the pandemic. We got her remains in an envelope and were told to have a nice day. I hope if he's cremated, someone gets an urn necklace for Marie.

Here in cali, in my county if your homeless your next of kin can go to the welfare office and get a cremation for 900$. I wonder if where she lives they do that. I can see the money being pocketed.

Does anyone know how much she raised? As a funeral home worker, for reference, our cheapest option is $3k. Which is just picking up the body, cremation and then we give you the cremains in essentially a plastic bag/ plastic box. I kind of doubt she’ll be willing to spend anymore than that. Funerals are extremely expensive, so are caskets. It’s going to probably cost more than 15,000. I doubt there’s going to be a funeral
