                I’m siding with Bluey on this one. There’s speculation that Ronald (a white man) is Tophia’s father but she looks WAY more Latino than white. Her biological father is most likely the Mexican man that Marie met at the border.

            You’re absolutely right. It seems that many people don’t realize that most of us Latinos and Latinas are mestizos , which means we have a combination of indigenous and Spanish blood. Some of us also have African ancestry. In fact, only in Cuba do you find some people with predominantly Spanish ancestry. Marie is very clearly mestiza.
