Violence should never even be a thought. The violence going on in our world is disturbing. And it’s not about left or right. It’s about right and wrong. We need to stop “othering” people republican, democrat whatever it may be that you are using to “them vs us” is wrong. We are all human beings. Just because you dislike someone doesn’t mean you hurt or kill them.

I woke this morning in a safer and less violent world than I woke up in yesterday, specifically because Kirk is no longer in it. No one should take it into their own hands to create and run an organisation specifically aimed at inciting and perpetuating violence domestically and abroad, and yet he did exactly that. Good riddance.

I don’t wish to eulogize Kirk. Truthfully I don’t care about him directly. But his children lost their father and were present at the shooting (sorry if this is inaccurate but current reportings have said this). They are innocent. They had to be there while their father was assassinated. The entire crowd scared for their lives that they were the next mass shooting victims. It is about the bigger picture for me. It’s about the precedent being set. It has been one political crime after another. I don’t care what the views of the monsters perpetrating these crimes. America is fucked. And we have a shit bag in office stiring the pot blaming “radical left” while I believe the shooter is at large.

I didn’t bring up Kirk. My comment initially was about the state of the US and violence as a whole. I don’t care if you mourn him or not I’m not here to police your feelings. I certainly don’t mourn him. My point is we should not celebrate violence. Yes the post was primarily about Kirk but more than just him were affected.

I genuinely enjoy all facets of participating in discussions. Not everyone is going to agree and that is half of the fun! I agree though it is pointless sometimes but I still really find enjoyment in sharing my thoughts even if people don’t like them. And I really like reading people’s opinions even if I myself disagree. I learned a lot in this discussion here honestly, and that is all I care about at the end of the day. :)
