If you were tophia, how would u proceed after these events?
If it were me, i would be taking advantage of the situation. Mamachu is in a safe place and being cared for? Perfect, let me utilize the showers. I may have the opportunity to spend the night with my mom on a chair? Great, ill spend the nights applying for jobs and using the electricity. My brother had good friends? Awesome, let me see if they can teach me how to drive so i can get my license before my mom is released.
My mom may start receiving benefits and or housing? Great lets start saving money incase these items are taken away.
I personally think while her mom is in the hospital, this is the best opportunity to get her ish together

The wake up call ship sailed a long time ago. If being forced to live in her car with other people and shit in the street didn’t motivate her, this won’t be either.

I would like to say I'm grateful that none of us are in her (smelly)shoes,
But given this situation, I would handle it by being by mother's side to support her emotionally, BUT ATP is getting my butt up and apply for some kind of job for income as they lost the only cash flow, to brothechu's sad and untimely passing.
Even if I had to pick cans and bottles to recycle for a few dollars each day, I'd do it so I have some kind of way to save. Now isn't the time for tophiachu to be braggadocios and pompous. Now is the time to humble and get gainful employment so when mamachu is released from the hospital after this ordeal she doesn't have to live in a dirty car.
And I will burst if I don't say this; it's not her fault that this tragedy happened to her brother, it really was bad time bad place. But if she had an ounce of self respect and REAL situational awareness, she would have long been getting money to contribute to the family as not to live in a car. They wouldn't be in the parking lot ANYWHERE if the two able bodied adults both worked and brought home some rent money.
as mean as it sounds, this is literally the universe giving her an opportunity to have a better life. she will 100% fumble it, though.
