Tbh I never expected the backlash to prevent him from making content. He reacted to the criticism in a pretty self aware way and is trying to make up for it, so I don’t see any reason to take a break from posting videos aswell.

I think for me it's more the fact that he didn't really say anything just took the video down and continued posting like it never happened. Like he could have at least said something about it even if it wasn't a full blown apology.

I think this is kinda the best option in all honesty.
While some of the things he said in the vid were true, there's a time and a place and now's not exactly the time. Toph's going through shit I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy and to expect her to be "smart" in this situation when her whole family could've just died isn't cool.
I don't think any kid of a apology can fix things but making a monetary contribution is a step in the right direction.

I watched his video, he doesn't accuse this of being her fault. he's just kind of cold-toned and even then, so what? Kiwi and chinchilla made a video shortly after, he just made his first to inform people about what he knew was happening, he was scrambling just like the rest of us. He said Tohpia needs to get off the internet, and its literally just logical when you put the pieces together, toph COULD have contributed to the family and their housing before this tragedy happened and she COULD have helped out way more then she was. Of course, none of this is her fault, but from my takeaway - he wasn't accusing her. It was pretty tamed IMO.

right, i feel like the deletion of the video might be the reason for most of the hate since its coming off as it was a lot worse as it was, i feel like lemur was just focusing more on the future then present which is literally FINE since it offers another perspective of the situation.

i don’t remember his exact words but he was basically blaming tophia in a way for all of what happened because she couldn’t stay off the internet. he had uploaded the video when the incident had just happened just 12 hours prior

I hate that people have this weird attitude about her and I don't mean the casual "oh I'm so sorry for her and I feel bad" rhetoric. I mean the people who have continuously made videos bashing her (which she's a lolcow, to be expected) but instead of feeling true empathy and sympathy, the follow it up with the whole "she put herself in this situation." Like just say your condolences and move on. It's frustrating that these people are saying she chose to be homeless and got her family harmed. Instead of saying "she should have" or saying "this is her fault" why can't people just keep it to themselves. She already feels so much guilt for not getting them out of the car sooner and feels guilty for being alive.

Yeah him, and the other 3 commentary channels that are all butt buddies together; Major chilla, Smokey, and Kiwi tapes make the most uninformed videos on lol cows. I don’t get why he makes content and doesn’t do any research on the subject he’s talking about. They always get facts wrong just to push their own opinion. They do all this lolcow content farming that they just think they’re gods because they’re posting degenerates.

Someone had asked me a couple of days ago "what apology" and here's your answer, although I had meant to put "fake sympathy" but I saw no reason to correct myself when I knew eventually he would get enough backlash for him to make a statement on his YT post. They've called him out on Twitter the day of the incident because he just had to throw his 2 cents on it as soon as he heard about it. That bum scummy stoner sounding kid is just looking to profit and he couldn't stop for one day to first at least gather correct details, allow time, or at least sound comprehensive with his "poor choice" whether it was his commentary or him even releasing the vid. He is absolutely not empathetic, sympathetic, nor apologetic at all and to cover himself by saying that is not shocking coming from him. My theory on that idiot is that he probably thought by posting that he would have supporters cheering him on but it backfired on him completely and he will wait for the heat to die down. As for how long, idk, but like herpes, he will come back.
