She can easily get Medicaid or atleast in the past she’s had it. She’s had access to it and still refuses it. Mamahcu can also easily get Medicaid but doesn’t use it either. She definitely had resources while in the shelter for help like this but as usual she doesn’t use it

It is shitty with healthcare and it can be hard to get care in general, even with Medicaid, because a lot of providers either don’t accept it or accept a limited number of Medicaid cases.
That said, Tophia makes zero effort to either get coverage or even bother finding a provider who will take it.
That, imo, may be the worst part of what Tophia is doing. People who see her see someone who, in her own words, refuses to work, turns down help and resources offered to her, and makes zero effort to improve her situation. This is not the case for the vast majority of indigent people, who are trying to get out of their situations, but often run up against institutional issues. Tophia is doing a truly horrible thing by pretending that she’s a typical case.
