   I mean tophia did say that she has a broken jaw, so I think coughing might be painful for her…at least that’s what I think.

   Probably on a serious dose of cough suppressant because if she was shot in the jaw that constant heavy coughing would make seriously disrupt any kind of healing

   She’d be on ALOT of pain medication if she’s been shot in the head area. One of the side affects from pain meds is that your coughing is suppressed. They used to prescribe codeine as a cough medicine, and that’s why there is codeine in children’s cough medicine! (Well partly). Her cough is most likely being addressed! Which is what we all want. I hope she recovers quickly and has the medical assistance needed to fix a lot of her health issues at the same time.

      Especially since Tophia shows no signs of stepping up for marie, hopefully the hospital can address and fix other problems.

      Heaven forbid when she gets out and goes to get her medicine there’s a co-pay. Tophia isn’t gonna shell out money for her Mom to get medication. When there’s a world filled of Cheesesteaks and patty melts calling her name.

   Marie was shot in the face. Her jaw is wired closed and she's likely sedated. If she has a trach, you won't hear her cough much.

    Most of these comments are probably right, she’s either super doped up to manage the pain, her jaw might be wired shut if it was damaged, they could be actually treating her coughing with an inhaler, or the clean air of the hospital room might be giving her some relief

    She has been coughing in the stories. Tophia posts so many it’s easy to miss the ones Marie coughs in.
