I know a lot of people right now are talking about Tophia and her mental health, rightfully as this is obviously very traumatic for her, but personally I can’t stop considering what Mamachu’s mental health is like and what’s been going through her mind during the tragedy and after.
Imagine being an elderly woman asleep in your car, only to have an intruder with a gun burst in and threaten your daughter and son right in front of your eyes, force your daughter out of the car and shoot your only son right in front of you, ending his life and before you know it being shot in the midst of it all yourself. Not only that, but the intruder gets in the car and starts driving erratically with you and your shot son still inside to an undisclosed location before threatening another person, getting into another altercation before the cops finally intervene.
I can’t imagine how scary and confusing this must have been to experience, especially being woken up to it abruptly with no prior warning, and even worse for an elderly, already sick woman who’s not functioning at her best mental capacity. I can’t stop thinking about what she must have felt during this and what it’s like for her lying in a hospital bed trying to stay alive while also processing the news that your only son was killed right in front of you just hours ago.
Even though she has her faults anyone who’s in the lore can see Marie genuinely loves her children, I really hope she survives this both mentally and physically.
