Gun violence low in Canada and free health care - backed up health care system, also an issue with getting certain health issues handled right away. A lot of Canadians have to come to America for medical help. Violence on indigenous women is high, high cost of living like really high.
Hawaii (Maui) and Alaska - American places, they are included in the flag Toph. If you’re complaining about the cost of living in Albuquerque you’re gonna have a heart attack over how expensive everything is in these states because most things have to be ported in and you’re paying those tarrifs. Native Hawaiians are currently being majorly displaced from people trying to move in from the mainland and gentrifying the islands.
California - cost of living is way way up. I’m from California, grew up there still have family there. Don’t consider moving here unless you have a very solid plan.
Indonesia - haha talking about the violence of women being high in America and then talking about Indonesia is crazy. They just ended virginity tests for the military in recent years. And they have a problem applying legal enforcement against sexual violence and harassment.
In fact, violence on women is very high in a lot of foreign countries, it’s just so normalized that as outsiders we only hear about the most egregious crimes or if it was a crime against a tourist.
Also, Asian countries are currently facing an immigration issue and a lot of unrest over foreigners because of the immigration policies as well as nuisance streamers.
Aside from that, as threatened as to is currently you have more rights in America than anywhere else Toph. Because when you live in those countries if you criticize their governments and how they do things you can actually get in trouble.
