My issue with tophias mentions
Why does tophia constantly have to bring up Mexicans to any sort of conversation and try to erase them from the ethnicity they’re choosing to present as? I understand that Mexican isn’t a race but an ethnicity but why does she constantly have to bring it up as if people aren’t aware of that already? She’s gone on several rants abt how Mexicans aren’t Mexican bc it’s an ethnicity and I wonder if she has something against them as she’s always starting something with them.

the problem is the way she builds discourse around race, her understanding of the subject is extremely harmful, southern america is incredibly diverse, due to historical reasons, so including mexico.
the world isn’t made of black and white people, and her trying to justify her racism against certain groups just because she classifies them as “non black” so, following her understanding, the opposite of black which is white is reductive of the many issues these groups face daily. In tophia’s eyes, if you’re not black you’re white, and if you’re white you’re automatically the perpetrator.

Tophia is definitely those people who would say that east asians are the only asians and the rest are white or middle eastern or something 😭
