What I don't understand is the news report said one of the suspects was shot in killed after the car crashed near by the scene of the original crime. Unless this was a police shooting which was not mentioned being the case, why in the hell would one of the suspects be shot?

The news report said two confirmed dead with one being the suspect, and a third was in critical condition. She said herself her brother looked dead. It’s not hard to piece things together.
