I'm usually a huge proponent for "Live and Let Live" and for people to not have their rights infringed upon.
But..... In this case, I can't argue with your suggestion. This man has some serious problems and instead of allowing him to remain draining the city of valuable time and tax dollars they should have the court commit him to an institution that will allow him to regain use of his mental faculties.

He is innocent until proven guilty. Courts have decided he’s fine to be free. Likely because Papachu in jail for trespassing and all this bullshit means people who rape and murder do not have beds in the prisons. Yes, he needs help. No, it is not within the courts’ authority to force him into treatment without being deeming incompetent. There is a lot of time and money spent on competency cases. And there should be. It should not be easy to take away peoples rights and lock them in a facility. He has had these hearings and they decided to let him go.
There is no one with the authority in any jurisdiction on American territory to arrest on preventative measures. It is a large part of the reason we have issues with mass shootings; the police and FBI know who the weirdos are, but until they do something they have no ability to arrest you. Being weird and owning guns is not illegal. Being homeless and mentally ill is not illegal.
Papachu on the streets means actual threats to society are kept in custody. Tbh, Papachu is just a danger to himself at this point. He is more likely to get himself killed than kill others, and it is not the courts responsibility to babysit him back to health. I know about the DV record but those charges were 15-20 years ago and he is a frail 65 year old or so. He simply doesn’t present the same threat to the community, especially since he no longer lives with those he assaulted. It is his families responsibility and they have washed their hands of him, for whatever reason they have. Poverty, drugs, and lack of education keep these cycles going. Someone actively has to make the choice to change. I do not see any of the Chu’s doing so. I just hope Tophia does not have children.
Papachu is old, ill, and has no emotional or financial support. This country does not care about him enough to nurse him to health. We love all our vets here in the US! Well, except the ones that ask us for help. The VA office literally anywhere in the US is the 2nd worse place in the world at any given time. The 1st worst is Joplin, MO, easy. Coincidentally, also lots of poverty and drugs and people who make you question if they got a high school diploma or high school completion certificate.
It’s an abysmal situation and heart breaking but asylums are absolutely not the answer. They were shut down for good reason. If you’ve ever been in a mental inpatient unit, you’ll understand what I mean. The people who work there don’t care, and you, upon arrival, have less rights than an unborn fetus. The staff are paid horribly and since these patients can’t sue, they literally get away with murder. Several instances of shoving mentally ill people in straight jackets and chaining them to radiators on the wall. Oh did I say people? I meant children; the photo I specifically recall had two children with non-verbal autism and were around the ages of 7 and 8. It’s abhorrent.
In what world would you ever trust THIS government to help its people? There is no financial return on giving the disabled some quality of life. So, they just kill people. They lose people. They starved them and overdose them on morphine and throw the bodies into mass graves. We didn’t know about it until construction happen to come across a mass grave of 200 bodies, male, female, and child, estimated ages 5-75 killed over the course of 15-20 years. Asylums are a death sentence for people like Papachu. He needs someone to care about him, not a government employee to spoon feed him soup while he’s restrained and inject him with tranquilizers every 6 hours. It’s barbaric. And so heartbreaking that society can see people that need help, know that what we did before to “help” very clearly did not work, and want to commit all these atrocities again so we don’t have actually solve any of these problems.-

But papachu has proven to be a clear and present danger to society given his arrest for false imprisonment of not allowing his family to leave their apartment back in 2022 or 2021 where SWAT had to use tear gas to neutralize him, followed by him soliciting for sex of underage girls back in 2024 on his X/twitter page and him robbing a pizza shop with a weapon and attacking the employee there.

All his cases get dismissed because he’s deemed incompetent to stand trial. In ABQ rather than sending people Iike him to a mental hospital, they put them back on the street to either kill or be killed. It’s inhumane.

There hasn't been any phone calls recorded since he's been in the mental hospital. It's been almost a year. I don't think they're going to let him out. He was so far gone when he went in. I don't believe he'll ever give up on his delusions. If he does get out and goes to a group home, I don't think he'll be allowed on the Internet ever again.
