granted, it sounds like there probably wasn’t any other car in the lot (I mean, church parking lot at 3am), and it’s suspected that the carjacker was already fleeing from something else at that time, maybe it was just the first/closest place they saw while they were fleeing. and they wouldn’t know ppl were inside until they’d approach the car. AND clearly they were already not in their right fucking mind. It’s just literally so fucked up and tragic that of all the places they could have gone to and all the empty cars they could have stolen it had to be the one with actual people inside to kill… like fuck at that point just break into an empty car parked on a street nearby, walking for like probably less than a minute is frankly so much less effort and trouble to go through than whatever the fuck this is. again obviously it’s not like they were or could even be thinking clearly but just Jesus Christ

seeing their car in those conditions is so surreal. i just keep thinking about that drone video of brotherchu in that same car. who would’ve thought he would live his last moments of life in there. absolutely insane.

Well yes, it went down in three locations. The original car-jacking location, where it crashed, and where the shootout occurred.

Omg I’m horrified this happened and I don’t want to victim blame, but when Tophia had that homeless man jump into her brothers car that one day she said how dangerous it was out there and basically foreshadowed this. Nobody deserves this, but I really wish Tophia had the brains enough to go to a shelter. I literally have zero idea how mamachu and Tophia are going to survive without Tophia getting a job now. Like a week ago people were saying Donald sr died on station head, now I don’t think that was true but it’s very eerie now that Donald jr died. I will pray for mamachu to make a healthy recovery and that this incident will teach Tophia to cherish her mother and the people she has in her life. So sad…

What happened had nothing to do with her telling internet trolls or commenters to “pull up”. What happened was not their fault AT ALL. I’m not saying you ARE saying it is their fault but FAAFO had nothing to do with them sleeping in their car and having some psycho car jack them. They did nothing to warrant what happened to them.

I've yet to hear the police say that the shooter was someone that police were already in pursuit of before the attacking of the family.

It does seem like the suspect drove into the parking lot in a different car, before carjacking the Slydells (still yet to be confirmed if this is what happened or if it was the suspects car) though; it makes the most sense that they were fleeing from SOMETHING and that there was a reason they needed to ditch their car. You’re right though that there’s no word so far that the suspect already had been in active police pursuit; you’d think with the car and the body/identity of the suspect they’d be able to figure that out pretty quickly (in the grand scheme of things— probably not quickly enough that it’s something they could confirm to the public at this point. The identity of the suspect hasn’t been confirmed publicly either and I’m pretty sure that’s something that would/will end up being made public.)

This is horrible and even though Tophia is snarkable, some of you alls re just asses for the comments you are making. This is going to change her life forever. She will never forget the side of her brother. She will never forget leaving her mom in that car. She’s going to feel guilt forever. And even though she is not a good person no one deserves what happened to her. The only person who supported that family was snuffed out right in front of her eyes. This is just another day in Albuquerque. I very much doubt they're beds available from what I've seen my self they're people sleeping outside in the freezing cold on sidewalks and bus stops. But several buildings play loud classical music to keep homeless away .I think from what I've seen a couple comments mentioning beds but they don't know how bad it actually is.but also Albuquerque a city of 564,559 people has a higher crime rate than Phoenix Arizona. Well I think they can find a shelter thy be it it may be in Rio rancho but not in Albuquerque metro. But these streets are very unforgiving than the streets of Compton.
