This is actually really sad. She can't comprehend that 1,000/month is literally NOTHING. I dont know if it's because NM minimum wage is lower than my state, and things might be a little cheaper, but..... that's pennies! I bring home almost 4k a month before taxes. After taxes, it's about 3,200, and sometimes that doesn't feel like enough.

Whats insane is if she was making $1,000 a month AND got a job she would be doing almost okay, somewhere near $36000 yearly.
