subreddit literally going downhill
idk if this is allowed (delete if not) but has ANYONE else noticed that since Squid is trying to involve herself in the Chuuverse again, nearly EVERY comment i see criticizing her is just "her lip piercing/piercings are trashy shes too old for them1!1!1!" or straight up bullying her and accusing her of being on meth??? i fear that being discriminatory towards someone who you believe is on drugs ISNT going to help them admit theyre on drugs and then get sober. not to mention that i genuinely saw a REAL comment of someone saying they hope the meth stuff is TRUE and CONTINUES on because they want to "milk the lolcow". the subreddit was completely fine when people actually had compassion and actually wanted to hold people accountable/correct them on misinformation but the amount of just blatant bullying im seeing is completely insane. and yes, Squidd is crazy for saying Tophia is in on what happened with her family, but dear god people NOBODY believes her. and if someone does believe her, they HAVE to be a child because no sane adult would believe that. i guess i just don't understand why people jump to criticizing the most irrelevant possible things and why its so normalized to discriminate against addicts/people you just THINK are addicts without solid proof

i swear people LOVED squid i mean she was getting absolutely glazed in her comment section and during her TikTok lives and such they would SPAM for her to join tophias live or to talk about tophia. the people who were doing that are definitely the same people missing the big picture here and just attacking her for her appearance. they dont actually want to see change, they just want the tophia lore to continue for their own entertainment.

sorry i dont exactly understand this comment. i dont think im rushing to defend squid, or even tophia, but ive been following the chuuverse since tophias "bosses daughter" days and always thought the bullying was completely counterproductive. i do think squid is completely 100% wrong for trying to spread a rumor like that about someone going through the complete unimaginable. but ragebaiting her with accusations of being on drugs and coming at her appearance isnt going to make her realize that shes wrong

i didnt exactly say they cant say that. i just said it was wrong LMAO. and i only brought it up because it ISNT okay to do it to tophia either. the reddit was literally JUST trying to shutdown all of the unnecessary negativity and bullying towards Tophia and was actually trying to band together and help with boosting the correct gofundmes, stopping misinformation, etc.. but genuinely, at the end of the day, people are terrible and dont care about peoples actual faults, they just want to tear others down due to things happening in their personal life. i never said it was😭😭 but this just proves my point that people love to hide behind a screen and don't actually care about the real life consequences of their actions. the subreddit WASNT always like this. and it goes without saying that the BIG BIG picture is completely unethical and everyone here (myself included) is wrong for being invested in the first place. i feel as though lolcow culture has been dumbed down to exactly your comment. instead of trying to help these people or just not engage with them, everyone justifies it because its entertainment, tophia asked for it by posting in the first place, tophias a bad person, etc etc. but unfortunately its been that way for a long time, and its addicting to be so negative with no repercussions, so obviously nobody wants to change. just some food for thought lol

i highly doubt being bullied online is "karma" she did nothing bad enough to warrant those comments. Karma is when the universe gives you a taste of your own medicine. not literal redditors making comments on your appearance and accusing you of being on meth because you wanted a little bit of clout LMAO. if anyone even actually cared about her saying Tophia is in on it, then thats what people would focus on. instead, majority of people just want to jump on the hate bandwagon and put someone else down because of shortcomings in their own lives. and everyone knows that shes just plain wrong, theres nothing to even argue about with her on that topic, THAT is why everyone is just bullying her and spreading rumors that shes on meth. people dont want to correct someone and move on, they want to drag it out and make it personal for their own entertainment .

i know i have high expectations for a literal subreddit dedicated to a notorious lolcow. but the only reason i made this post is because if its true that shes on drugs (especially meth), should we really be bullying her? if drugs are making her so unstable she thinks tophia was capable of hiring a damn assassin to destroy her family and entire life as she knows it, should we really be ragebaiting her and bullying her? or should we just not engage and/or offer recourses. unfortunately, theres zero ethics when it comes to lolcows and such. and people love to hide behind a screen. i just hope both tophia and squid and get offline one day and continue their lives out of the eye of the public.

Well we can ask those same questions about Tophia can’t we? What is happening with squid right this moment is the definition of lolcow culture. People antagonize her she continues to respond and dig deeper holes and those responses in turn are used against her to a point where the bullying becomes “justified” by the majority. It’s playing out right before our eyes, but from the very beginning. Maybe this can be a moment of cognizance in the depravity of lolcow culture, but no one really cares about the reality because it ruins the “fun” of hating someone for no good reason. This is just what it is unfortunately. I’m squid’s case, her attempt to ride the coattails of a lolcow to attention backfired hard as it always will. That’s on her to make peace with, not us.

Squid definitely wasn't going to leave the chuuverse anytime soon, she knows she could get clout from this. maybe she shouldve just chosen something smarter to go with. but criticizing her for her appearance and making harmful accusations of meth addiction probably isnt going to help her realize why she shouldnt be spreading rumors like that around. thats why i disagreed with it being karma. the punishment isnt even related to the crime. and im sure that she knew nobody was going to agree with her and was just going to attack her and ragebait her, therefore just giving her the clout she wanted to begin with. because now instead of people saying "youre wrong, we all know it" and ignoring her, people will be talking about this for weeks to come and its only going to create a whole new conversation completely surrounding Squid, therefore giving her the clout she wanted. unfortunately, i think SHE ragebaited US lol.

Oh no, I disagree. She is indeed affected by this negatively. Her immediate responses to videos, her body language, she was even shaking in one her videos. She is not built for the kickback this has resulted in and I see through it clear as day.
I still say it is karma because she is receiving the same hatred she joined in on toward Tophia. It’s like she saw an angry mob, pushed her way to the front of the crowd to see what’s happening, and witnessed a public stoning. Rather than walk away, What squid did was she picked up a bag of stones and threw enough to get people to cheer her on. She kept throwing them until she proverbially threw the stone that ended the subject’s life. Everyone turns to her in disgust and simply utters “too far man” yea we were throwing stones too, but you went too far. Sheer hypocrisy and she becomes the new target. Does that makes sense? we can throw up the white flag to virtue signal as hard as we want, but you’ll be screaming at the air here.

She needs to be held accountable for her trying to imply something is suspicious with the shooting but commenting on her looks or voice and implying she’s doing drugs has zero correlation to her implying Tophia is lying or behind the loss of her brother and almost her mother.
