I know a lot of people have been following this incident since it first happened. And others have been refreshing to stay updated. I know we all have a tendency to get wrapped up in these thing, but obsessing over this tragic event is not gonna be good for anyone's mental health. Please take a break once and a while. Get something to eat, talk to your friends, pet a dog, just do something else.

Honestly this is heartbreaking as fuck like I would not wish this on anybody. My heart has been racing all day and I’m just refreshing over and over like I’ll see news that Donald Jr. is fine and Tophia will continue to at least get by. This is really bad for her and Marie 😢

i feel so bad for Tophia & her family. nobody deserves that…i’m just glad mamachu is okay. losing her would have broken Tophia.

I actually had to deal with my own near tragic event in my family yesterday morning, and it is a feeling I would never dare wish on anyone at all. You’re just anticipating for the worst and thinking all of the worst case scenarios possible, it’s absolute purgatory.

I was so lucky to have family friends and college friends being there with me through the phone, my aunts coming down to visit in the hospital waiting room, and me going out into Hoboken later that day to clear my head + see my cousin and his gf together downtown.

It did wonders for me mentally, and I at least hope Tophia can somehow get something like that because lord knows she needs that right now. Having a whole village behind you in times like these is so crucial. Hoping some of Marie’s family could come out to support them but idk. All I can do is pray for them🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

  There was an armed criminal evading the police and they tried to steal the Slydell's car. Tophia luckily got out of the car and was unharmed. Donald Jr. was unfortunately shot in the head and succumbed to his injuries. The driver took the car and crashed it (Marie was still in the car). A security guard shot the suspect. The suspect was killed, but Marie was hit in the crossfire and taken to the hospital. As far as I know she is alive.

    Hearing the details and hearing her break down is just awful. It's so heartbreaking, and my heart bleeds for her and Mamachu. Despite everything, they never deserved this.
    
    I just hope that Mamachu and Tophia can at least physically recover and that they work like hell to make things better. This is just awful and I have no other words for this
