To a grieving family
I want to say this to Tophia, and to any of you who have been affected by this senseless act of violence.
I also want to just say a few things to individuals in this subreddit. There's a time to act serious, come together, and uplift someone. Sometimes, you have to put differences aside. Semantics don't matter.
Donald Jr. cared for his sister and mother until the end. That is something that should be looked at with admiration. His sister witnessed something extremely tragic that will stick with her the rest of her life. You could clearly hear it in her voice. Nobody should experience that kind of fear, panic, and desperation for your loved ones.
She now has to face tough life challenges. I understand everyone on the internet is not empathetic, kind, or caring. But I hope the majority of her give her the grace and space she needs to mourn and navigate life.
Life is a fragile thing. I think if I've learned anything from this, it's we don't know what's going on, what will happen next, and that these toxic communities affect people more than we know.
I'm sorry for ever being apart of it. This is truly heartbreaking, and this is going to be the absolute last post, comment, or engagement I have.
Tophia, I hope you heal, take the time you need, and I'm sending you love and light. I am so, so sorry.
