To anyone waking up or seeing the recent news
I’m gonna try the best that i can to answer some questions you might have. This all is overwhelming & the amount of misinformation going around is crazy.
What happened? -> The Slydells were involved in a car crash & shootout overnight on 3/11/2025 in Albuquerque, NM.
Is anyone hurt? -> The suspect, brotherchu, and mamachu were involved in the shootout. Unfortunately, brotherchu succumbed to his injuries. (R.I.P. Donald Slydell JR). Mamachu is in stable condition. As for Tophia, she posted on her story that she was not affected physically by the shootout, BUT is affected both mentally and emotionally.
Nobody wanted this to happen to them. The Slydells were unfortunately in the wrong place at the wrong time. As of right now (10:25 AM PDT 3/11/2025), this is all the info out. Updates may occur through the day so please keep in mind. Links to my sources will be stated below.

It’s the first thing I saw when I woke up too. I skipped a few of her stories and suddenly saw “my brother looked dead” so I had to go back to the last one and heard her crying. I acc felt so bad, I was so confused at first.

Thought for sure someone was just being sarcastic about a Florida man type story that they were jokingly implying Slydells were involved. Nope. Just a horrible crime. Not the entertainment I was looking for.

Personally, I don’t care for her or the family as much as the next person, but this is such a horrific thing that I would never wish on anyone no matter what. I can’t even imagine. I pray they get help they need through this and can eventually heal from this.

one of the most disturbing things to ever occur in this...strange hobby we all have. I'm probably an outlier because I don't care enough about the chu clan to be dedicated towards disliking them. Regardless...this is insanely fucked up and a horrible thing to happen.
If I could say ANYTHING...I truly hope something snaps in Tophiachu's mind that forces her to make an actual proper change. Never mind her own needs - her mom needs her now more than ever. And that's all I've gotta say about all of this.

Agree. Regardless of anybody’s opinions about the Slydells, nobody on this planet deserves to witness or watch their sibling pass away. That is tragic in and of itself

This is so heartbreaking. She has lost most of her world, in one of the most traumatic ways, within 12 hours. I never thought I'd be saying this, but my heart hurts for her. Bless her.

i hope that the police or hospital is able to provide some sort of psychological assistance during this investigation. tophia couldn’t comprehend that she’s homeless, i can’t imagine how she’s gonna process her brother being gone.

(iirc) brotherchu was shot while asleep, mamachu is just old and can’t move that fast so tophia was really the only one who had a chance to get out

Anyone who has ever been through trauma or gun violence knows when a tragedy like this happens... blame, anger, annoyance, etc... go out the window. If you have truly been affected by a tragedy, your life is immediately changed forever. This poor family was already at rock bottom.. him being the rock that kept them somewhat grounded. I can't imagine what she is going through right now. I'm so happy she has a community of people who care about her. She is a human. Her channel is going to be a lifeline for her right now. No one deserves to watch their family being taken away so senselessly.

I think the worst part to me is that they were exactly where they should have been, a church parking lot. That's not me getting preachy and saying that the Slydells need Jesus, but if you're homeless, that's exactly where you should be, some resource that can provide assistance, like a church, homeless shelter, library, etc.
It's not like they were busy stealing at Walmart or wasting money at Comic-Con, they were in a damn church parking lot
