So, she’s defending her 7th grade reading level, which to a point I get, because ultimately that fell on her parents and the lack of focus they had on Tophias educational needs.
But, then she goes to say that people with “Mental Health Issues” are actually very smart (no way shape or form am I saying they arent) but she just talks with so much confidence. She goes on to Albert Einstein and people like “Rain Man” had again “Mental Health” problems just like her? Mam, they were neurodivergent and dealt with neaurodevelopmental disorders. Tophia has a learning disability, people like Rain Man and Albert E. Just had to learn things differently, and yes very, very smart. You TOPHIA also have to learn things differently….but no very very smart. My point is, she always wants to be Ms. Google and want to dissect race/ethnicity but wont bother with other topics when it comes to defending herself.
The thing that tophia doesn’t understand is people would treat her with compassion if she stopped being totally insufferable with a massive ego. Nobody would make fun of her for her poor education if she was chill but when you act like you’re smarter than everyone while you are quite literally illiterate, people will point it out.
Ultimately, she was failed by some kind of system (whether it be the schools or her parents or both) because it’s actually abnormal for someone at her age to know so little and to be so incapable, but at this point she makes a conscious effort to not address her obvious weaknesses (basic language skills, general knowledge, critical thinking, etc) and acts as if she’s so intelligent and everyone else is stupid. She deserves to be humbled and then acts like a victim, it’s so beyond pathetic
