Any thoughts about this ? Here is mine
1. Tophia is NOT disabled… I believe she only used that excuse because she doesn’t want to get a job.
2. Tophia CHOSE to be homeless.. there was plenty of options for her and her family to live in a decent shelter, work , and even go to school. She let social media rot in her head that she gave all of those opportunities up for that. And it’s gotten her nowhere but HOMELESSNESS.
3. Unfortunately the situation isn’t a “wake up call” to her as y’all can see she’s still on social media and was even caught trying to scam again🧍🏾♀️. you defenders ride so hard for this girl and do nothing to help. Get her a house , give her money , help her sick mother ! HELL let her move in with you.
LETS NOT USE THIS AS A “haha I told ya” moment..

Exactly. It’s actually more insulting, imo, to just assume she’s disabled when she’s never been diagnosed with anything. And even if she was/is, it doesn’t mean she can’t also be a terrible person on top of having a disability. You don’t get any passes for being a horrible person. This person is trying to make it sound like Tophia doesn’t know right from wrong or something when she absolutely does. She had enough capacity to know the things she says & does are problematic, and has even scolded her own mother for saying things she shouldn’t be saying on lives and stuff.

Exactly! It's like people try so hard to not be ableist that they circle back to actually being ableist. I'm autistic, when I see people defending people like Chris chan or white bowser because they're autistic it's honestly insulting to all the other people on the spectrum who have never done anything terrible like them.
We are people, that means that we can do wrong just as much as doing right, just like other people. Having a disability and/or a mental illness doesn't give you a pass for being a bad person.

Fr its actually very hard to get ssi people think she can just get it. I had to prove (with over 5 doctors as witnesses) that my daughter was incapable of almost everything. Its extremely degrading and tedious. It took months of sending proof to finally get approved. She hasnt even been diagnosed with ANYTHING and she is very capable of holding a job she just chooses not to.

I worked with people who had severe intellectual disabilities such as Down syndrome. Tophia is able bodied, I don’t doubt she has some learning disabilities at all, but to say she can’t work because of her learning disability is completely false. She has stated over and over again she doesn’t want a real job and flat out refuses to even try to do anything that would have gotten the family off the streets including going to a shelter, helping her mom file for disability, and reapplying to section 8 housing.
She was under the impression that someone was just going to gift her a house or she was going to become so famous and lucrative that she could buy a house in cash. Very delusional especially as a homeowner myself as I know how much work and money it takes to maintain upkeep on a house and my husband is a construction worker so we do all the maintenance ourselves and if you aren’t able to do the maintenance like the chus (unskilled) then there’s zero point in owning over renting.
The truth is Tophia is still so out of touch with reality, there is no helping her she needs to make up her mind and help herself. We all on this sub realize this and the truth of the matter is she’s still acting in the same way she was before the tragedy. If this horrible situation doesn’t change someone’s outlook on life, then what will?

wonder how many of these people just post these things for the brownie points rather than genuine sympathy for tofupa. there’s so much information and evidence that tophia has said the cruelest things about other people, and had continuously lied about things in her life. people still feel sympathy for what happened to the slydells, but not what tophia has been posting and saying before and after that incident. tophia doesn’t deserve pity, that’s how she gets donations.

The incident literally had nothing to do with the internet, it was wrong place wrong time. Showing empathy isn’t the same as supporting, you can feel bad for what a person has gone through, but that persons actions still exist, Tophia is NOT the innocent person this woman seems to try and point her out to be.
There’s no official diagnosis that Tophia is disabled, this woman’s just claiming she is, she doesn’t even know Tophia. why would she assume she’s disabled? -

I saw this comment on this tiktok post, the first sentence sounds like an excuse that Tophia would make. Tophia’s only had one job and got fired due to hygiene issues which can easily be avoided, but she decided to stop looking for jobs entirely. Tophia has been offered resources to help her find a job which she’s refused constantly, Tophia thinks social media is a get rich quick scheme and her perception of money is like a childs. Tophia’s been offered support that people in tough situations could only wish for, her brother had worked jobs which she could’ve also applied for, Tophia just has no motivation, and would rather put her faith in social media because she thinks she doesn’t have to do much for money there.

I’m so sick of people saying she’s disabled. She self diagnosed herself with a learning disability. She has never seen a doctor about it ever. When she does describe her “learning disability” she says it’s hard to concentrate and she gets distracted. Like that’s literally add. Good luck telling the social security office that’s the reason you can’t work.
