Woman, you need to shut all the way tf up for now and go claim your brother’s body from the damn city morgue already. I’m not the only one who thinks she still hasn’t done it, am I? She’s been too busy engorging, crashing out online, stressing her mom, and living it up in a hotel.
I’m a mortician and don’t know how Albuquerque operates but if it’s anything like where I am, if she doesn’t hurry the fuck up and have him sent to a proper funeral home, the city/county morgue will cremate or bury him in a mass, unmarked indigent grave at the city’s expense. Time morgues hold unclaimed bodies for varies, but she’s already like 2 weeks behind…Sadly I know she’ll see that as a **plus**, but if she drops the ball I hope Marie **never** forgives her for not allowing her to see her son one more time, or at least hold his hand (I know there was…facial damage) or even have his ashes.
I’ve seen funerals get held off for perfectly valid reasons, and I know Marie is in no shape to even attend anything right now, but Tophia’s sheer laziness and apathy has my bams boozled.

As someone who found their mum's body I don't think Marie would want view him due to not wanting that to be the last thing she remembers of her son. Though I'm going based off personal experience where I didn't want to view my mother cause of that and apparently other family did and said it was the right call cause she had bad facial bruising.

Look, even as someone in the profession myself, I realize fully that there are many genuine vultures out there, whose sole intent is bleeding grieving, vulnerable people for every penny by selling them frivolous expensive shit they don’t need. I HATE the business end, I’m just lucky to have found and stuck to one of the good funeral homes that also see tending to the dead as a ministry and accommodate low income clients. Personally I avoid arranging services period, I’m a lab rat who prefers being behind the scenes with the bodies.
That said, Tophia **cannot blame the industry for “exploiting” her or discriminating this time. She would have had more than enough money for a good funeral if she had just kept. Her mouth. Shut.** Now everyone knows what she is and the donos have come to a dead halt.
Despite how exploitative my industry can be, my own intentions are pure. I became an embalmer because seeing family members look so much better at their funeral than alive and when they first died was *priceless* to me. I’ve wanted this since I was 7. I take all of this very seriously, and to see this absolute **DITCHPIG** disrespect both her dead brother AND her mom by depriving her of closure, is absolutely sickening.

I understand that. Some people don’t need to see the body, personally I have to otherwise it doesn’t feel real. My greatest pride in my work is giving people one last good “memory picture” at their viewings, to hopefully give them something better to remember than the state dying originally left them in (my whole interest *started* because my grandma looked so much better dead than she did alive). His damage is why I said “hold his hand”, even if his head would have to be concealed, that would be *something*. Tophia doesn’t care she’s potentially gonna rip that closure away from her mom, and I **hate that**.

I saw someone in another thread say NM doesn’t cremate unclaimed bodies. He’ll be buried in a potter’s field (cemetery for unclaimed and indigents) in a plain pine box with no marker. Then Tophia will go on to accuse the morgue of stealing her brothers corpse and burying him somewhere unmarked without her permission.

I just looked up the laws of NM for unclaimed bodies. The law provides for burials when no relative claims the body. These matters are handled through the county finance office in the county where the death occurred. In New Mexico, an unclaimed body may NOT be CREMATED.
So my take on this matter is they’re letting Donald Jr go unclaimed, and eventually his body will be buried somewhere with an unmarked gravestone.

Whenever a loved one of mine dies, I simply can’t sleep easy until everything is done and they are properly interred. Hell, I plan on *embalming my own dad* when his time comes (he says I’m the only one he trusts to do it right 😅), that’s how seriously I take my respect for the dead. I literally treat the bodies and urns of my **CATS** with more love, respect, and decorum than she does her own *blood sibling*. I have seen many lolcows, but never, ever anything like this. Not sure how things work in her state but here in CA if you don’t claim the body they city cremates them and scatters the ashes at sea. They save exact coordinates where they dumped the ashes . However in other states if a body is not claimed it would be buried in a communal grave with other unclaimed people.

Brotherchu is better off in an unmarked grave. If Tophia had his ashes, she'd do something loathsome with them. Use them for pity donations, sell them, who knows what- but it would be vile. She certainly wouldn't keep them safe for Mamachu (if, indeed, Mamachu ever recovers enough to do something with them.)
And if he got a marked grave, its location would inevitably be released. And once that happens, well... the internet is full of sickos. That graved would be defaced at best, robbed at worst.

If he’s not embalmed (which he would not be in the morgue, that’s for the funeral home), it is **noooot** gonna be pretty. He’s been dead over two weeks, refrigeration only retards decomposition, it doesn’t stop it. And his blood vessels will likely be too deteriorated to even attempt embalming now. That’s just more trauma the woman doesn’t need.
