         It’s not that easy though lol when you get weight loss surgery, they make you meet with a dietician multiple times that reports back to the dr about how serious they think you are about sticking to the diet/meal plan. Then there’s also a mandatory psych appointment, they ask questions about your support at home, what diets you’ve tried in the past and why didn’t you stick with them, why you’re getting the surgery and a whole slew of personal background questions. If anything raises a red flag that you’re not getting the surgery to better your health(vanity, other people’s opinion, etc) they will deny you. Tophia would fail every step of the way. This is how it works in my state and many others. Lots of people end up just going to Mexico and paying out of pocket for surgery because of all the hurdles
