This statement really is among the most ignorant she’s now spewing. Going on an instagram rant talking as if she has any sort of education on how social structure works pisses me off. In general speaking as if ur in favour of homelessness is insane to me.

Homeless ppl are more likely to be both victims and perpetrators of crime due to their precarious living situations. Many crimes committed by homeless ppl are crimes of survival, such like theft (for food or necessities), trespassing (sleeping in public spaces), or drug-related offenses.
Providing stable housing reduces the need for these behaviors bc ppl are no longer forced into illegal activities to meet their basic needs.

So sorry tophia if I’m not buying the whole argument that being homeless has no correlation at all with what happened to you. Was is tragic, unfair and no one deserves it? Absolutely. Now…was it linked to the way you’d been living for the past year? Also absolutely.

So tophia, when ppl ask you to please use resources, get employed, start participating in life it’s because you need to seek housing and stabilize ur life. You have the absolute luck to be physically fit (the mental part has been on the downfall w delusion), you don’t have any addictions and ur young. Do you know how lucky you are? Chronically homeless ppl face problems that are so much more complex and ur out there pissing ur life away because the truth is YOU ARE LAZY AND ENTITLED
