Can someone explain Tophia's MDD diagnosis to me? I'm kind of confused.

I understand that mental health is complex, and depression can be shown in many different ways.

...Its just i've hardly ever seen a depressed person as in love with themselves as she is... she also seems to show no guilt or shame.

As someone with depression myself, I cant really connect with her as much as I do with the people in my group therapy.

Sure, maybe she could pass as someone without much energy since she doesnt do much...

Sure she could pass since she doesnt care for herself.

Sure, maybe even having anhedonia could pass with her since she doesnt seem interested in much aside from tiktok. Anhedonia gets you huge points on the depression screening.

She didn’t get an official diagnosis; she’s just trying to find ways to victimize herself more. She got the diagnosis like in the night on Sunday. I’m 100% sure no medical profession is open that day.

I have an official diagnosis for MDD. It took several therapy appointments and medication adjustments. It just means I have to keep myself from being too sad to the point I dip into suicidal. (I'm doing good) No way in hell she got an official diagnosis so fast ( it took me a year), let alone on a Sunday night.

MDD is just another term for “severe depression”. I was diagnosed with it ( by a professional psychiatrist ) many years ago.

She may or may not have depression, but her having an official diagnosis with MDD is most likely made up. She lies....like a lot and she isn't telling everyone to be able to connect with others or vent. She wants people to feel bad and to have a reason to sit on her ass instead of trying to do something productive with her life.
