My sympathy will always be there for her, but my weening patience with her statements is reminding me that she'll always be the same. Instead of realizing her mistakes, their mistakes, and getting off the streets on her own, she's just going to make it about the internet again and blame everything and everyone else.
The cycle continues. And I was really hoping it wouldn't.

We all were hoping, but I knew deep down that toph would just turn this around for money, clout, and to blame “the internet”. This was her make or break moment, her come to Jesus moment so to say. This was it. I knew she wouldn’t choose right because if she were to win the lottery, she’d have her mom put in a home and her brother would be left to fend for himself IMO. And she had all the help in the world. Redditors alone left and right were figuring out what resources she had available, funeral directors from other fucking states were trying to figure out how to get Don JR (RIP) buried or cremated for as cheap as possible. Pretty soon Marie is gonna die and then Tophia will be left all alone, most likely living in a park or some shitty car begging for money and making sure everyone knows her circumstances are not her fault.
At the end of the day her brother is dead in the morgue and she was spared with the gift of life, and she’s using that gift not to correct her ways, but to continue on her own path of self destruction, all the while dragging along her elderly mother.

Her mom who has a life threatening wound needs to be somewhere she can be monitored. Infection, complications, etc are very real possibilities, even if you're not living in a car with no access to a shower to clean the wound. Tophia has let her ego kill one family member and it could kill another if she doesn't shut the fuck up and do something.

Exactly. I went through a situation where my dad was shot, my mom had to tend to his wound daily and clean it thoroughly. If you miss even one day you risk a life threatening infection, and with how Tophia acts I just feel like she wouldn’t handle the situation properly. Especially considering they’re homeless and do not have the means to be in a clean and stable environment where proper treatment and healing can take place.

I had my colon removed and had an incision/wound that went all the way down to my abdominal cavity, I had to clean and pack the wound every single day. Even in my clean home/environment with sterile gloves & supplies, I got an infection that I needed to be hospitalized and put on antibiotics for. It wasn’t a bad infection but it took a while to heal due to my nonexistent immune system and just having a massive surgery. So without a doubt, Marie will get an infection with their nonexistent hygiene and no clean environment to heal in. I don’t think Marie will make it to see 2026, possibly not even see this summer.

Just to avoid infection she should go to a nursing home. If she's needed surgery and they go to a motel they are very unhygienic and she could get an infection. I donated to the one the friends set up and was thinking about donating the same amount to her own one but watching her blame anyone and everyone when it was just a wrong place wrong time situation is really bothering me and now I want to keep that £50 in my bank account. When I first heard about it I thought how would I feel if I had witnessed one of my little brothers murdered in front of me, I couldn't even begin to imagine how traumatic it would be and felt heart broken for her and her mum. Then saw the friends had made a go fund me for the funeral and donated, I know 50 quid is a drop in the ocean compared to what the funeral will cost but I felt compelled to add something and that is what I felt comfortably able to afford at that time. But with what Tophia is saying online and blaming the Internet etc I just don't want to send her the money now. I donate regularly to cancer and animal charities. But this £50 I'm thinking I'll keep it for next time my 2 sons ask for playstation or fortnight cards!! I know they will appreciate and be thankful for it and not just expect it coz they asked, they know they will be doing an extra chore for it.

I think the police put her in a hotel and I speculate she’s ubering back and forth from hospital to hotel while Marie is hospitalized.
Between the GFM and the various cash apps/PayPal’s I’m going to estimate this whole incident will gross 15-20k.
Once Marie is discharged, she might try to live out of motels she’s not blacklisted from, then maybe junk cars when money runs low…which idk even know how since she doesn’t drive…how she’s going to wrangle parking to evade towing. If too much ptsd to live in a car then it’s going to be a tent/the shelter.
Going forward, anytime she’s low on funds, she’s going to post stories crying about missing her brother and a modest amount of cash apps will roll in (like a couple hundred) but they’ll dwindle over time. Then when Marie dies, we will repeat this e-begging peak and trough cycle again.

There is only one level 1 trauma hospital in abq. I assume Marie was transported there for her gsw. That hospital provided $81.8 million in services to the indigent community in fiscal year 2024, serving 38.6k indigent patients. The medical bill for this is going to be de minimus. Marie should also be covered under Medicaid as we didn’t hear a peep about medical bills related to her pneumonia/chest infection hospitalization.

Even then; the medical staff wouldnt let Tophia intervene with Marie’s healthcare in the hospital, especially her being a gunshot victim, elderly, etc.Nurses and doctors can see Tophia’s demeanor. I’m sure they’ll talk to Marie when she isn’t around/devise a plan that’s appropriate for her.
Tophia isn’t mentally competent to be her mother’s caretaker. I don’t see the medical staff guiding her or tasking her with the aftercare Marie is going to need.
A rehab facility sounds like a legitimate possibility- depending on the severity of her injuries and projected healing process.And dear god, that doesn’t need to be documented on TikTok.

I have a friend who went through hell and back. Tied up in a barn and left there for days, beat black and blue for years by her boyfriend. They still live their life, have a job, family, a home. Not denying that what she went through wasn’t traumatic as hell but to say that you can’t get a job because of trauma is something else. Might be cruel of me to say this but the world will keep spinning despite yours stopping and that’s just how life is.
I absolutely despise the tone of entitlement she has in this video. What was the point of bringing up the shelters conditions? How the hell are you going to try and blame that on the internet.

Marie being in a nursing facility is way better than being homeless. Especially in her condition. She will be fed, clean, warm, and any health issues will be addressed as needed. I know Tophia is scared to be alone, and that’s probably why she’s so defensive. She needs someone with her who will also accept their way of living and stay by her side through the trenches they’ve been in. IE her mom has rode this wave of insanity with her for years now. And dealing with Donald Sr’s issues has definitely been hard on them. Tophia has to realize that she can’t blame others any longer for her misfortune. If anything she needs to blame her parents because they never made sure their children knew safety, stability, and work ethic (besides Donald jr since he was the only one trying). I’m ngl you guys, I’m struggling to have empathy with Tophia rn. One of the main reasons I never liked her was her inaction.
Wouldn’t it be nice if Mamachu was put in a nursing home TO HELP HER HEAL! and HAVE A SAFE PLACE TO REST HER HEAD in a well temperatured environment. And Tophia could get an actual job make enough to wear she would be able to visit her mother everyday possibly rent her own apartment. And as she’d save money she might be able to afford to own a place with her mother.

And don’t get me wrong I understand the grieving process. I lost my uncle suddenly, (though it was not nearly as traumatic as what Tophia endured) that man was practically my father. He stepped in when my dad didn’t care too.
The thing about is that my heart is still beating. It has a hole in it, and I don’t know if it’ll ever fully heal but it’s still beating. Meaning no matter what we have no choice but to move forward. If this way of thinking hasn’t gotten you to where you would like to be, maybe it’s time to change. Do something different. It can be scary or uncomfortable in the beginning but you’ll get to where you want to be eventually.
If Tophia would reevaluate her current situation she could see that the nursing home would be temporary until she got back on her feet and got in a better mentality/mental state. And it’s hearing things like that practically taking valid advice as an offense attack on her person. I understand she’s grieving, plus the feelings are still fresh it hasn’t even been a week. Which is why I’m still giving leniency but I’m struggling with keeping my empathy upon hearing things like this…I truly am.

Not trying to compare trauma but as someone who’s been thru a lot of trauma too (god awful abusive childhood) then was homeless in Garfield park Chicago where I was robbed at gunpoint, found a dead body, assaulted et. I understand completely that she just saw her brother get killed like I can’t imagine. But working a 9-5 is what got be out of that situation. Damn I really thought this would be a wake up call for her.

I really had hopes this would wake her up but unfortunately she seems to be worse. What happened to Donald Jr. is awful and senseless but yet again she is focusing on the wrong things and blaming everyone. Marie will be next, there’s no way her health will be strong enough to withstand whatever is going to happen when she gets out of the hospital. I don’t know the extent of her injuries but she’s older and already in poor health. Just a sad situation.

I think this should be a wake up call (not meaning it in a bad way) for her to wake up and start being responsible. When I lost my mom to self harm I stepped up and raised my brother and all the household when I was just 20 years old. I was one of those teens who didn’t want to do anything and just expect things to be handed to me. When I got that wake up call, I learned real fast what needed to be done. For her to blame the internet in her brother’s death is a wild claim. Her healing from this event will be hard but she needs to try to be an adult and see things from a different perspective.

We can't take anything, she says, seriously. Tophia has no money management skills. She mentally can not think beyond HER immediate wants. She really needs a court appointed care provider. She doesn't understand her begging is not a long-term solution because her brother was killed. But is she even cognitively able to get a job, follow directions with no excuses, wash herself & her uniform daily, behave appropriately while at work & get to work on time every day? This whole thing makes me so sad.

Some of you seem to forget that Tophia is mentally challenged. I am not being a smartass I am being serious. Tophia is slow. Of course she argues about everything being someone else’s fault. She does not understand common sense. Not only that but, right now she is mad at the world because she lost the only other person beside her mother that she had in life.
