Was she ever liked?
I guess I’d be a newbie to the Chu lore. I was out of work last year for a few months so I had nothing but tiktok. So I got really into Tophia, Ashley Trevino, nick harris etc. and since I showed up late she’s been hated for years I was wondering was she ever liked? Was there a point where she went south? Or did she hit the ground running into hate?

I think people found her cringey initially and also felt bad for her. She was never liked in the sense of "Wow this person is genuinely creative/talented/intentionally funny" etc. Just people laughing at her or pitying her, until she opened her mouth. Cycle is repeating now.

I’m pretty sure everyone who went to high school with her only tolerated her but never liked Toputa or her family. There was a Reddit user in here who went to school with Donald JR and claimed their family was strange. So my guess is no, they’ve never been liked.

Dude I rmr when I was on tiktok and I followed her, probably slightly before the mafia boss shit blew up and she would go live to literally barely anyone. She would be in that shit apartment with the mickeychu picture behind her and that was the last I rmr of her before I found out after I got off tiktok and came back to the tophiachu lore and found out she was an atrocious fucking person and it felt like whiplash (coming back to motelchu was wild...) but anyway, I rmr stopping by like twice to those quiet lives of her sitting there saying barely anything and the comments being quiet too. I would throw a few pity comments like "wow your shirt looks nice" because I was a bit of a hidden ass but I wouldn't be outwardly mean at all. Someone else said her tiktoks would have the vibe of funny comments that were obviously bc of her ridiculous mafia dotter vids but nothing crazy negative which was true too.
It really is crazy to see how much changed from that to this in what really was little time.

I was just curious cause 9/10 people who start on TikTok don’t go straight to hate from other people. Like I was wondering if there was some point she got a nice compliment or people genuinely liked her. I assumed her lives made it worse but was thinking maybe it wasn’t always the way it is now

Right right- as far as *genuine* affection goes and compliments... uh no. lol, not from what I seen. There was the few people who would do their feel good comments y'kno where they kneel down to the stinky weird kids and make themselves feel like they did their good deed of the day by being friendly but you know it was never really meant with much more intention than that.
She also barely fucking acknowledged our comments then, honestly, even the good ones. She would give a sheepish "thanks..." and go back to being awkward and silent or rambling about something. I wish I saw the point where it all just flipped and she became what we see now.-

I wouldn’t say she was liked ever, but I remember one particular tiktok where people felt sad for her. It had the audio of “it stopped raining, I did everything you ask for!” With a sad tune in the background and the caption for the tt was about her being ugly and unconventionally attractive; that one blew up and gave her a lot of views and subs that she went live. Her horrible personality was out on full display and her lore is lost in the early days of lives.

Ngl shes always been in some type of mess, so not really. It wasnt nearly as bad as now though. But she lost a bunch of friends from being terrible and talking sht abt them, u can find some of the comments left behind abt it on super old tiktoks LMAO most her content on early tiktok days was super negative and her complaining abt not getting enough support, tiktok being unfair, the usual

Early on, not really. It wasn't until she got scandalous and started to lie that she started turning the lying into her hate for everyone like she hates every race, ethnicity, disabled person, EVERYONE
The earliest I can think of was when she did her mafia boss daughter au/pov as most comments were lighthearted jokes and just finding it funny but not like in a negative way. I think after that she started going downhill bc of her racist,ableist and overall negative stuffs on her livestream
