i think this is a stupid new reddit update where, instead of it showing the active users, it shows the daily (i think it's daily) visits on the subreddit.
-
L Reddit for real

They're wrong. It's how many people that are subscribed to the sub that are online in general. They're not all actively on the sub.

Honestly Its gotta be either A. Doomscrolling the sub (I do this a lot to check in on the glob) or B. Just online in general

Didn't you get the memo? We're all jobless internet stalkers!

Someday I would love for somebody to research for a thesis paper on the effect of objectifying oneself for social media money.
We all know that people like t will use rage-bait, and making fools of themselves as a way to garner engagement.
What I want to know is how that affects how you see yourself and how you see the people in your immediate circle who might play a part in the brand you turn yourself into.
Does somebody have to be of a certain IQ or a certain cluster B personality disorder in order to think that this is in any way of sustainable, healthy way of life?
Has anybody with a healthy sense of self ever engaged in this and come out the other side whole?
Is there some kind of dissociation, some kind of “splitting” necessary in order to “create” as a personae but still live your day-to-day as yourself?
When people come up to you in public, do you have to act as this persona or do you let them know that you are in fact, acting out of character online?

Sorry, my bad. Those are the 5.5k sock puppet accounts I use solely to keep Tophia down and stop her from achieving fame because otherwise she'd be too big for all of us.
