Why are we feeling bad for Marie?
She does not care about Donald. She’s too busy seeking validation from viewers in Tophia’s livestreams- asking for Tophia to allow her to say hello, when she SHOULD be on Tophia’s ass about losing her SON’S death certificate (if she even got it in the first place) causing him to be flushed down the nearest toilet at the morgue. It’s clear by now that Donald will not be getting buried, and Marie does not care for some reason. She’s attached to Tophia’s hip, LYING saying that Donald was not the main Chu helping pay the motel fees when Tophia even admitted he was. She seems to not even care about the fact that her husband is in jail. She is most likely sad about Donald Jrs death, but she is doing absolutely nothing to get him buried. She’s only arguing on Stationhead and being an attention whore on TikTok live. She does not care, so stop trying to sympathize with her. She’s a racist, ableist enabler who is the exact same as Tophia.

I have family that was the same way. She may have her differences with any of her siblings for whatever reason, it’s still her choice if she’s too proud to admit she needs their help.
Even in my mother’s own family they had a lot of differences and conflicts, but when one of them was in trouble they would try to rally to help even if they themselves had little resources. It didn’t matter how badly the last attempt ended they still cared enough to help.
For now we only have tophia’s side of the story, and her uncle’s side of the story. In the Chuverse everyone is an unreliable narrator 🤷♀️

Literally. Marie is responsible for all of this in the wider scope of things. The dad, too. Why choose to have kids and then completely fuck them over to the point where they become such terrible people that there's very little room to even begin to have empathy for them? Why not have certain stabilities set in place for yourself before even trying to conceive? Having Tophia and Donald Jr. was truly so ignorant of them, and now Tophia is way beyond saving (still on account of herself, of course. The same went for Donald Jr).
It's so unfortunate how incompetent this whole family is, and none of them had or have the ability to understand how important it is to heal and work on yourself so your issues don't worsen or trickle down the family line. I don't wanna sound rude, as I acknowledge they are all experiencing a delay of some sort. But what I say still rings true: Despite everything, you're still accountable for yourself and your actions or lack thereof. ESPECIALLY as a parent.
The Slydell's are trainwrecks that have slowly but surely worsened each other.

I think it's still a terrible thing to happen to her, but no one would've been in that exact scenario if this family knew how to function properly. It's definitely all of their faults for succumbing to their circumstances and ending up in such an unsafe situation where a car jacking or getting shot has a heightened chance of happening.
I know a lot of us are realistically only one or a few bad things happening away from being homeless, especially in this economy. It's not easy out here, but they literally have more resources at their fingertips than most average people. They aren't doing enough research or taking advantage of that, and Tophia still stuck on believing she can be a full-time influencer probably fucks with their eligibility as well.

I feel indifferent but many people can see Mamachu is heavily reliant on Toe Fungus.
She can't rely on Papachu because hes legitimately crazy. He could harm her, no stable place, and unpredictable.
When Brotherchu was alive, they never seemed to connect. He has a completely different world than her. She'd feel so out of place at a car meet up, weird to hang with his friends, he wasn't really home.
Now Toe Fungus. She was ALWAYS home. She has no friends so Marie didn't really have to meet anyone new. TF always talks about old shows, old music, older celebrities, thats within Marie's grasp. Although TF; yells, degrades, ignores, neglects, Mamchu, shes the only one Mamchu can rely on. She could hopefully gets scraps TF didn't want. Marie has nothing and she doesn't seem all there.
