Why Didn’t Donald Move Out?
I don’t understand why Donald didn’t move into a studio or a 1 bedroom with tophias combined income. Or even maybe just his own idk I looked on Zillow and some of the apartments are super cheap compared to other areas I’ve looked in. (Like $600!)
My heart and head hurt for the Slydells, despite everything. I keep putting myself in her shoes and tbh I can’t imagine something much worse but WHY on earth did it happen?? Someone posted his pay check a few weeks or months back and it was like $900. He couldn’t find anyplace with that budget in NM?! I really wish he would’ve helped Marie get some professional help and then put himself into a place. It really breaks my heart how hard he was trying to pull himself together and keep his family together.
I stopped seeing him for a few weeks and honestly assumed he had- I really wish I was right about that now😕

To put it bluntly - the whole family is lazy. Once you reach homelessness, it’s hard to get out of. Then, add their eviction records + the fact that I’m sure they were well known in the area considering her online presence and the fact that papachu had a whole SWAT standoff that shut down a whole area for a time, no one wants to rent to them. They refused to leave NM or get a job/better jobs. I think they were used to being homeless and poor that it was just comfortable to them in a weird way

Tophia said she didn’t want to leave Albuquerque bec of her dad. I’m sure it was an excuse to not accept a job offer in Arizona. I’m sry I could t find the footage. “Social media is my full time job” but she banned so fast she was dropped from the program and continues to insult and hurt people’s feelings. Marie has an untreated thyroid condition I can tell by her neck. It looks pretty bad and may account for her loose stools and incontinence. Could be a real easy fix but Tophia won’t take her she’s been asked multiple times to get her mom to a doctor. My mother had cancer and Marie’s cough was exactly the same. Same hacking. Even if it’s COPD it needs to be monitored by someone who is capable. That’s why she looks “slow” and appears tired all the time. It would wonderful to see her on medications to help treat it. Make it make sense. At least Donald tried even if he had a car shopping addiction he was trying his hardest to get a “roof” over Marie’s head and Tophia. They just need to see a PCP and bingo. Donald Sr wasn’t lady quite the opposite but his delusions were that off a full time job and CEO. The only real lazy one is Tophia. No excuse just lazy.

Obviously, losing her son is traumatic and horrible, but I kind of wonder if being shot is going to be the best thing physically for Marie. Now she can get a lot of the medical care she needs and might be able to get proper assistance. I am sure a social worker is already attached to her case.

You know aside from the allegations that were proven. Let’s put that aside for Marie’s sake this week. He tried and Tophia wouldn’t get off her rear end to help him so he wouldn’t carry that burden alone. So get me wrong, he was dating a HS senior and everything he did ughhh. But he cared enough for his little family to be responsible and make a little income.

Donald Jr also had an eviction on his record. He was on that lease at the apartment with his father. Tophia has said in old lives that in order for her family to get accepted into that apartment they had to use Donald jrs income at the time too. So technically the only person who can Rent is Tophia and we all know she didn’t make 3x the rent even if she found a studio for 500.00 a month

Also Donald Jr both spent their money foolishly. They both lived for the day and not for next month. They both thought if the motel was paid for the week and they had 300.00 they were set to spend it. When most people make sure they have weeks or months of bills paid before they treat themselves

It’s for multiple motels/hotels at once. They need to leave the state. Tophia and Marie can answer a roommate finder add and pay for a furnished room. That’s doable bec it’s just a room and you can use the kitchen.would be about 500$ a month for the 2 of them.

It’s not for every property in NM. Just that particular brand. Like, let’s say she tried to stay at that brand or any of its affiliates in another state, they’d be flagged.

Tophia didn’t want to. She controls the decisions for the family. She didn’t want to pay a hotel anymore because it’s wasting money, and she said she didn’t want to rent a apartment or home because it’s not a smart investment. She wanted to pay cash up front for a home.

Yes. That’s why I don’t understand how everyone is getting mad at Reddit when there’s so much proof of her taking advantage of her families hard earned money. She’s stolen her mentality Ill father’s debt card to spend I believe $100 dollars on Wendy’s when they were on the verge of eviction when they lived in the apartment. She did that on a live and is screen recorded. She is the one that spends rent money on concerts, fast food and comic con. She got 2,000 this year in January and went on a shopping spree, and also bought Barbie heels that she couldn’t fit in, she also went to comic con again.

Tophia basically has no income. On his own maybe he could have found a place, but he would have had to ditch his family. There's no way he could support them in any place with his low income, and there was no way they would change their destructive spending habits. So it was either stay with his family who heavily depends on him just for simple things like food, or go on his own and let them rot. It's easy for people to say they'd do the second option over the internet, but when family is actually on the line, the majority wouldn't be able to do that and live with it.

Especially sons for some reason. Tophia would book it without Marie if she had the chance. She said in one live she was going to find a place and wanted nothing to do with them bec the father was turning the lights off or the lights on, one of those two. Girl has some growing up to do.

I think there was a brief period during the motel era where he would stay with his friends for a while, but occasionally check in on the family. Felt like a majority of other people said he is also somewhat extremely lazy and refuses to save money instead of buying shit boxes off marketplace.

I think a lot of things contributed to him not going out on his own. While he DID work, he changed jobs frequently so his work history wasn’t exactly steady, and Tophia herself mentioned how he liked to blow money on cars/car parts. $900 weekly pay could have gotten him a place, $900 bi-weekly would have been an incredibly tight budget, and Tophia doesn’t seem to maintain sufficient records to prove her social media income for her to have even put her money with Donald’s. I think he had too much of a heart to leave his mom and sister alone and to be quite honest, I think his upbringing made him accustomed to homelessness. It’s a nightmare and rock bottom for most people but the Slydells experienced it multiple times.

I can’t get him being murdered in front of his mother and sister and then the SOB sat on his dead body and drive the car Out of my head!! His mother in the back seat.. My God that is so fucked up. As for why he didn’t get his own place I don’t know I guess he didn’t want to leave those two to fend for themselves.. 😞

I honestly think he didn’t want to leave Marie and tophia alone. He had a ton of friends and I have no doubt they would have let him stay with them. Marie and tophia have both talked about how much they hated shelters and refused to stay there. I honestly think the thought of tophia and Marie alone on the streets scared him enough to stay with them.

well you see, donald was the breadwinner of the family and was carrying much of the financial burden. any leftover money he had after paying bills went to his hobbies instead of saving up to move out of the chu mobile.

I think Donald Jr. did not move out because once they were evicted from the last motel (Squid motel) tophia said on live that her and her brother agreed to stop renting from places and “save up” to own there place.
Also there income aside from very little wasn’t managed properly. They both would use there money for there hobbies and not properly save it. Donald Jr being buying project cars & tophia’s being her Temu & random garbage she never needed.
Also a lot of people had said before that Donald jr should have moved out on his own, but he was the only who cared for his parents (concerned about Marie & visiting papachu + calling him). Also if he were to try to take Marie wouldn’t want to leave Tophia so they all just became too dependent on one another.

Just for that hotel chain. They could had went any other hotel or motel, but tophia didn’t want to. Everything was literally her choice. She didn’t want to spend money on a hotel so she can spend money how she pleased. It’s all her decision.

Well here’s the thing and I’m from Albuquerque, depending on the place they have to check credit and history of eviction. They’re public figures so I mean.. that’s something to think about and usually those places don’t include utilities some do. Idk about $600 depends on the area. I’ve seen the average is like 700-800 with inflation and stuff.

Let’s be honest here. He was just as irresponsible with money as his sister.
He was buying and fixing up shit boxes, leaving them parked anywhere and getting them towed then paying to get them out. And according to Tofupa he was gonna go to California to see a YouTuber. The only time these people have ever had a somewhat stable income was when the dad was around cos his check covered the rent. Anything that they were left in charge with got cut off (like the phone bill) and got them evicted (motechu season 1 and 2)
the slydells are very dependent on each other and it obvious with the places they’ve stayed, even if marie and tophia didn’t attribute much that is his family, and im sure he didn’t want to leave them behind. Sort of the same way tophia refused to get herself an apartment
